Israel warns Hizbullah war would invite destruction
www.ynetnews.com
Israel would use "disproportionate" force to destroy Lebanese villages from which Hizbullah guerrillas fired rockets at its cities in any
future war, an Israeli general said in remarks published on Friday.
"What happened in the Dahiya quarter of Beirut in 2006 will happen in every village from which Israel is fired on," said Gadi Eisenkot, head of the
army's northern division. (visit the link for the full news article)

It looks like there is a new war coming up,
This is what Israel is threatening to do..
yalibnan.com...
Another holocaust.....
Will Syria be involved? especially that they have their military focused on the Julan hills?
Will Iran be involved?
How will this affect the current and very critical political scene in the middle east and the US elections?

So?
Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation, not a country or a state. Its a bit peculiar that Israel is even bothering to make a press release about
this... I would have thought it would be obvious that any attack by Hezbollah is an invitation for the Israelis to bomb the crap out of them just like
they did in 06.

Hezbollah are a defence militia, they just get the terrorist tag because they happen to fight back against Israeli incursions into their lands.
If Israeli military are making statements like this then they may have something planned. Maybe they are planning another incident like last time to
kick off another land / water grab.

Israel is not threatening to attack hizbollah, they are threatening to DEMOLISH VILLAGES!
I don't recall Israel attacking the "terrorist organization", Israel has attacked VILLAGES and killed INNOCENT CIVILIANS..
After the war, they still had to bow down to hizbollah's demands of setting all the remaining Lebanese prisoners free.. which they did a few weeks
back..
Israel's stance is very shaky, Israel is the only country that attacks and threatens to attack CIVILIANS when they cannot win against their real
enemy!

This is somewhat old news as Israle stated this months ago, but it is very smart on their side. Hizbollah has become a part of the Lebanese government
in the last few months so now effectively Hizbollah and Lebanon are one in the same. Israel is letting Lebanon/Hezbollah and the rest of the world
know that this time the gloves WILL come off if Hizbollah attacks.
Okay. So now that Hizbollah and Lebanon have been warned, if they DO attack, the no one can bitch and moan because Israel has already put everyone on
notice as to what the results will be.

So then does that mean that if Israel does pull the gloves off and destroys these villages that any response to them by Lebanon and Hezbollah will
also be swept under the rug? Will this open the door to Hezbollah completely demolishing Jewish settlements? What about other states? Does this
mean that Hamas now has carte blanche the next time Israel kills a Palestinian? Israel needs to be very careful about how far they open Pandora's
box.

Hezbollah fire the rockets from civilian populations and hide behind them and shield themselves with them so that when Israel retaliates they look bad
for killing civilians.
Hezbollah knows they can not defeat Israel by force, and use another kind of psychological humanitarian war against them.
This is why most Israeli people in opinion polls don't want war with Hezbollah because it just makes them look bad.
But Israel cant just sit there and get rockets fired into its country.
So what ever will be the solution to this extremely difficult problem.

What it means is VERY simple.
DONT ATTACK US AND YOU VILLAGES WILL BE SAFE
What is so hard to understand about that? To me, now that they have this knowledge about what the response will be, if they attack then it muct mean
the Lebanese/Hizbollah WANT their villages to be hit.
Its simple.

Who cares where the article came from?
The premis is the same and its valid. "Dont attack us and your villages will be fine".
If Israel is attacked by them then the Lebanese get everything they deserve in retaliation because they have been warned upfront what the consequences
will be. Now its up to them to decide if they want to attack Israel and put their own citizens at risk by doing so.
Somehow, i dont think it will really matter though.

What makes me seethingly angry about this is that our politicians--even in the recent VP debate--use the "protect Israel" card when Israel is
equiped with her own capable army and nukes and exhibites the same exact mindset as those who want to "wipe Israel off the map." Of course any
nation has the right to protect itself, but I feel that Israel has set herself up for the hatred other countries exhibit by her own actions and
policies.

Yeah I too am in the "Hezbollah will get what it deserves" camp here.
Israel is a state that has been under attack for 60 years - it's entire modern existence. That sucks, and I'm not surprised at all that they are
reaching the end of their tether.
All the Lebanese militants need to do to avoid getting the # blown out of them is sit at home and watch TV. Just do it, dammit, you jihadi psychos.
If the populace continue to provide a hiding place for these cowards, I say on their own heads be it.
If I were a Lebanese citizen, I'd be appealing to Israel as a person to help me rid myself of these monkeys, rather than just shouting about how
Israel is the badguy. I'd be inviting in Jewish soldiers and saying "hey, I'm with you, I want peace too!" but that won't happen, and I wonder
why...

Why? Because since her conception Israel has been the target of the Arab nations for virtually constant war? They took the land by the sword, they
can hardly bleet and play the victim when the land is taken from them by the sword.
Israel has conceded plenty of territory back to the nations that attacked it in exchange for recognition. That's it. Just to accept them as a
state. And that's only happened because the Arabs have realised they just can't win a war against Israel.

Are you defending the mass murders of innocent citizens in retaliation to Hezobllah's rockets?
They should kill Hizbollah fighters not demolish buildings above basements full of women and children!
