The US is not a Democracy

I am wondering if the US is really a Democracy. The only reason i give a !@#% is because i could swear that it was a consitutional republic.

No, it is a representative republic. Want proof just look at the last election.

PS Just an interesting thing to note, someone here once stated that the word democracy is nowhere in the Declaration of Independence.

As far as the word democracy not being in the Declaration of Independance, that was written before the first constitutional convention, so there was no framework for what the government was going to be. It was actually, essensially, a rebel yell saying we were free. The constitution is where the word democracy would have to be. And it ain't.

And the US is a democratic republic. All the masses get to decide who represents them, and that representitive goes and runs our government for us. England is a constitutional democracy.

Oops! My bad. My memory seems to be slipping in my old age and I mixed the two up.

Yea, it is a republic. If it was a democracy then every citizen could vote on every issue. The G-Men didn't start calling us a "democracy" untill the 1930's I belive. Probiblly had something to do with the commies, to be sure that Americans belive we are the exact opposite of the commies.

Not a democray, Felons can't vote... Whether you agree or disagree with Felons voting, we are not a democracy untill its in the hands of all the people, not just some people

President Clinton's so-called impeachment trial was sure-proof that the lawyers and politicians of today have set up separate laws for themselves and for everyone else. If any person not in government was proven to have lied under oath in court as president Clinton has, they would be instantly locked up in prison for perjury, so how did Clinton get away with it? Obviously modern politics and law has one set of laws for the rich (lawyers and politicians) and another for everyone else. By not only letting this injustice happen but by also encouraging it, the American people have proven to the whole world that they think that it's alright for their leader to commit adultery and lie to them and the rest of the world, which makes all American people look, to the rest of the world, to be nothing but liars and adulterers and as long as they are making money they don't care.

How can anyone trust or believe anything Bill Clinton or any American says now, after he has been proven beyond any doubt to be guilty of lying to the whole world under oath, and the so-called highest court of 'law' in America found him not guilty. It is supposed to be a court of law but in a court the jury has to vote on the evidence, not for their own political party or position. This makes the trial a farce and every peace-treaty and agreement that Clinton and the Americans have signed with other nations to be of no effect because he, through his own actions, and the people through theirs have proven their word to be of absolutely no value. A man is only as good as his word and a country is only as good as its leader (or more accurately, a country gets the leader it deserves). . .



Democracy, which has become the Cure-all Mantra, quoted incessantly by all western politicians, is a LIE and a confidence-trick, that they and their puppet-masters are now trying to deceive the rest of the world with, and are using their economic and/or military-muscle and means to force other nations to adopt, so that their puppet-masters can use the politicians to help them to rip-off all the other nations too, just as they have done already to the vast majority of their own citizens.

It is very simple to see that democracy is a lie and a confidence-trick. All you have to do is analyse what it is supposed to be and then compare that definition to the reality.

Democracy is supposed to be the rule of the majority. Government of the majority of the people, for the majority of the people, by the majority of the people.

Let us now compare the smooth deceptive definition, to stark reality.

In the western world approximately 95% of the wealth is possessed by approximately 5% of the people. That means, using these same figures, that 95% of the people, the overwhelming majority, possess only 5% of the wealth.

The politicians would have us all believe that this is the will of the majority. That is the politician's idea of what they call democracy.

When did the 95% of people, the overwhelming majority, ever vote for the right for themselves to be poor and vote for the tiny 5% minority to possess their own (the poor people's) share of the nation's wealth, that the poor majority's ancestors have fought and died to protect?

The Ruler of the Universe has prohibited democracy because He knew that the rich would use it and other means to deceive and rip everyone else off; keep the majority down and poor; just as He wrote, via His Prophets in The Bible.

He gave the world, via Moses, the perfect system of government, under which there is no poverty; no poor people and consequently no need to resort to crime to survive.

He prohibited the writing of laws and economic policies by humans, in order to protect the majority from abuse, and oppression created under the home-made laws of the rich and powerful.

Democratic nations refer constantly to the state of their economies, which again is one of Satan their master's deceptions and lies. The TRUTH is that they are actually the opposite of democracies and economies and are, in reality, total extravagances. There is absolutely nothing economic or conservative about a consumer, throw-it-away, society and the two things, conserve and consume, are a contradiction in terms and impossible to reconcile.

It is this modern-day, insanely insatiable, consumerism (of the spice Melange) that is poisoning and thereby bringing sickness and death to the Earth; its environment and YOU all.

Christ said, "YOU can NOT serve (love) God (good) and mammon (materialism)", because they are opposites. Just as Satan, the destroyer (Revelation chapter 9 verse 11), has taught his children (his followers) the way of materialism and consumerism with his market-system, which he started; originally in the now totally destroyed City of Babylon; and God, Who destroyed it, and Who teaches responsibility and TRUE conservation, are opposites.

The word Satan is Hebrew meaning The Opposer (someone who does the opposite) and, in Satan's case, he is, and does, the opposite from God. Anyone doing the opposite to God is working for Satan.

Christ has already stated, in His Bible Book of Revelation chapter 11, what He is going to do to ALL of those people who are destroying the Earth (which today means almost everyone):-

11:18 And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the Time of the "Dead", that they should be Judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy Servants the Prophets, and to the holy people, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

In most if not all states felons CAN vote. Just not during incarceration.

Please all read Plato's "Politeia" he describes the various state forms and puts democracy between the oligargy and the dictatorship. If you read what he says there it's what you see around you today.

No, this is not a Democracy. I'm just glad it's not a Theocracy! Now that would be really scary. Then the State would not only have all your wealth, they would have your soul too.

part of the problem is that the vast majority of the sheeples do not know what most of these terms mean. we are dumbed down in the areas of politics and law because if the sheeples caught on to what is being done to them..those in charge would no longer be in charge. that said..i stick to my view of what AMERICA is becoming...

We're a Democratic Republic, because a true democracy cannot survive in a nations. Imagine if you had to vote on ever single bill and law passed in this country. You wouldn't have time for anything else, like a job. So we select people to vote for us. If they go bad, we get rid of them in 2-6 years, depending on the position they hold.

We're a deomocracy in that we vote on our representatves, we're a Republic due to the fact that those representatives vote for us on everything else.
