I think I have seen this discussed here at ATS before, but I can't get any of your links to work, so I am not sure. I need to see the images, perhaps that will ring a bell for me.

(Anyway, I am sure ArMaP or Internos will know if there is an excisting thread about the subject.)

The thread is old, so there may be more recent ones, but I couldn't find any when I searched. Perhaps the image also has been posted somewhere in one of the longer threads about Mars images.

I think there was a thread about it this year, in this Space Exploration forum, and this photo has been posted in other threads.

I think it's just one of those slab-like rocks that are all over the place, only this rock is more narrow and somewhat turned over, showing the layers of which it is made.

I think I have posted some photos in other threads, I will look for them.
