Federal prosecutors said Wednesday that a man charged with drugging, sexually assaulting and killing his 12-year-old niece coerced another girl into aiding his plot by claiming to be part of a child-sex club that sometimes selected girls for "termination."

seriously .. this guy needs to be put to sleep asap .. study his brain, do a psychological analysis, do what you have to do and then just put him to sleep .. I have '0' tolerance for this kind of thing .. people like this forfeit their right to live amongst the rest of us and that includes 'living' in prison

Forget that phychosis analysis for genetic markers bs! He has no right to extra time on Earth just so we can LEARN about their genetic makeup, which we are probably only making guesses on in the longrun. Quite a waste of tax money.

In fact just to get this ball rolling, we should dig a massive crater in the Southwest, have several planks, and each execution from there on out will simply never have the snactity of a respectable grave for their body, it will lay in rot with thousands of others who have without a doubt been merciless to their victims!

The body count can assist us with tracking whether the national rates for certain crimes are going up or down! This will assist in allocation of funds for law enforcement and crime prevention!

when i read about things like this it really makes me simply wonder "why?".

my mind cannot grasp the concept of why someone would want to do something like this. something so sick...and so elaborate.

Not sure if I think the girl should be held accountable at all. I realize she is young, and was manipulated, I just can't imagine myself at that age going along with that. She probably shouldn't be held accountable. I am sure she is going to feel really really bad for a long long time over this..

We have learned more about Brooke Bennett's uncle Michael Jacques and his prior conviction for kidnapping and rape in 1992.

Jacques, 42, was charged Monday with raping a child repeatedly for five years and taking part in a sex ring called Breckenridge. This is not the first time the 42-year-old has been the focus of a sex crime investigation.

In 1993, he was convicted of kidnapping and rape committed in June 1992. Court records show that the victim was an 18-year-old young woman he supervised at a fast-food business in Rutland. The records show he and a friend got her drunk and then Jacques alone forced her into his car and over the next four hours raped her several times. The police affidavit says she was choked with a rope around her neck, gagged with a cloth in her mouth, and handcuffed with police-style cuffs. Police say Jacques eventually let her go after he told her he needed help and was going to seek psychiatric counseling.

Oh. Look here. He went thru a treatment program - and guess what - IT DID NOT WORK!!!

That 1992 plea deal also required Jacques to complete the sex offender treatment program before he could be released from probation. According to the records, he did complete the therapy program, and was released from state supervision in December 2006. Corrections officials say Jacques completed his sex offender treatment program in 2000.

Ah! And another conviction???

Jacques does have another conviction-- in 1985 in Washington County for lewd and lascivious conduct. We are working to get the records in that case.

I believe the true conspiracy in all of this: our laws and the criminal justice system (which is my major). I am continually disgusted with our system and believe it needs an overhaul. These creeps need to be dealt with - quickly and harshly.

I am sick and tired of these creeps being let FREE TO WALK THE STREETS after they have committed HORRIBLE offenses against innocent people. Are you kidding me??? Wha the hell is wrong with our system??? GRRRRR!

I am with you. When it comes to violent crimes we need to be as strict as possible. There is absolutely no reason this girl should have been raped and murdered, because this guy should have been executed after his first kidnap and raping.

I don't understand what is wrong in this country, why they just keep allowing these sick, demented people to rape, torture, and kill our children with the reprocustions being nothing more than a slap on the wrist ?

This guy has sytematically graduated to a more hienous crime after every conviction. The minute he graduated from lewd and lascivious conduct to kidnapping, torture, and rape they should have thrown away the key!

How does a man kidnapp a girl, handcuff her, gag her, wrap a rope around her neck and choke her while raping her for four hours and then walk out of prison 4 1/2 years later, to rape a nine year old for five years and then rape and kill his own niece ? My God people do way more time for drug charges !

Did the court system really not see this coming ? When the hell is our judicial system going to wake up and see that you can NOT reform these deviants ?!

The judge and the prosecuter from that 1992 case need to be fired and brought up on charges themselves ! How do they justify allowing scum like that walk the streets ?

I am so sick of the courts worrying about the rights of rapists and child molesters at our expense. They get their rights and walk free, while the rest of society lives in fear for the safety of their children!

I agree, this case is a perfect example of why the death penalty should be used -- with no appeals for this non-human creature.

Anyone who rapes a child should be put down like a rabid dog. No excuses for this horrific behavior. I don't care what kind of psychiatric disorder he is diagnosed with. He should have been kept out of society after his first offense.

The first step in accomplishing what appears to be the consensus here is to destroy the protection that they have in claiming to be 'ill' and needing 'help' to overcome their 'illness'.

Predatory Human behavior is the key. If we can truly establish that these people aren't 'sick' then we can proceed to dispense with the 'humanitarian' approach to their punishment.

J1 is the code name given to the girl, who spent the last 5 years having sex with this monster because he told her her family would be harmed if she did not, and finally was forced to participate in this murder. Unbelievable.

Beginning in 2003, Jacques "intimidated, deceived and persuaded a nine-year-old girl (J1) into believing that a powerful organization named 'Breckenridge' would harm or kill her and her family if she did not engage in sex acts with" him, U.S. Attorney Thomas Anderson said in news release.

She was definitely an innocent victim.

I read the article, I know she was J1.

She helped this man murder this other innocent victim at the age of 14. I understand she went through years of sexual abuse, and was fed lies. Still, at 14 it's kinda hard to imagine her going along with this scheme to murder another innocent girl.

I really didn't mean to imply anything bad by saying I wasn't sure if you had read the story, and I provided the information that J1 was the code name of the girl in question so that the bit I quoted would make sense to anyone who hadn't read the full story. I am sorry that I offended you.

I don't think that after five years being systematically indoctrinated to believe what Jacques said and that her family's safety was at stake, J1 could have made any decision like a normal 14-year-old would. That's what I based my opinion that she shouldn't be held accountable for the murder on. But it's just that, an opinion. Yours is as good as mine.

EDIT: it just occurred to me that you might have thought the "Unbelievable" in my last post was directed at you. It was not; it was directed at Jacques and at a world in which this could happen.

Our legal system is such a joke it is mind boggling.
But it probably comes down to money and revenue. How does the state/county get more money out of the previous situation? Throw him in jail that costs money, or send him thru some joke rehab that requires him to pay for the sessions, plus the pay fines and pay restitution.

Our legal system is a joke. Sorry to rant. This is just absolutely mind boggling how our corrupt, money driven, incompetent, ludicrous legal system and government keeps sinking further and further into a pile if rot that it is.

I think that if the man is guilty, He should be placed in a large cell with a bunch of 400lb guys named Leroy that have had a large dose of viagra for a few weeks. Then executed.

These guys are perverts. Sick,Demented Perverts, who need to be removed from society permanently, as soon as they are convicted. The one caveat must be that the evidence is 100% undeniable before the execution is performed.
