Well here is an article by one of the men who debated her in 2006.

Alaska Debate

And here is the video of her debate in Alaska

She's not stupid and I have a STRONG suspicion that these interviews she's been doing have been just a show on her part to make herself look dumbed down so Biden will come into the debate overconfident.

Do you honestly believe that? I can understand those interviews lowering the bar for her success but do you really think it was orchestrated? I have never seen a politician perform so poorly in an interview, i just cant believe anyone would purposely take such a huge hit just to alter perception to make themselves look better in the debate.

I just saw a poll that showed

A new AP-Gfk poll released Wednesday found that just 25 percent of likely voters believe Palin has the right experience to be president. That's down from 41 percent just after the GOP convention, when the Alaska governor made her well-received debut on the national stage.

Article Citing Poll

She has been playing opposum taking a 16% hit on her credibility and now she is going to pull a rope-a-dope and instantly turn into the ultimate diplomat/politician/debater, in the most amazingly orchestrated plot to dupe the democrats and single handedly win the election for McCain???????

this debate is stacked against palin.
the moderator is in obamas back pocket, this is like playing baseball when the umpire has a bet on one of the teams.

I think Bill Maher said it best, "Sarah the Pit Bull, meet Joey the Shark!"

The question will remain however, will they be treading water, or throwing it down on firm gound? This should be a good debate.

And how is she in his pocket? Because she is African American? You'd think the GOP would have noticed that before it was agreed she'd be the Mod. Or is it because she wrote a book on black politicians, and Obama being black, is in it?

Yeah, really in his pocket.

Oh Gordon, such ignorance... Its not a race thing.... Open your eyes, see whats among you. The moderator wrote a book about obama an politics. She is pro obama.

Im an Obama fan and I think this is an absolute outrage. Im one of the few who believes in these debates, and it makes me shake my head to know that the moderator is so one sided.

Here's hoping for a last second change.

I have seen it posted before and I will say it again.

She will not be replaced because it's the perfect excuse to fall back on if Palin bombs. Why else would McCain be willing to let her moderate??

If I was the Obama campaign I would demand a new moderator for this reason alone....

Palin comes across as naive or unsure, well it was a biased debate, what can we expect.

Putting all my cards on the table saying this is what we will see tonight after the fact.

If Palin pulls through and does well, then it will be "against all odds". Either way she wins.

I sincerely doubt that Ifill will display any bias while moderating this debate. If she does it will be obvious and she'll be called out onto the floor for it. She will not place her integrity in the line of fire for Biden.

Biden is more than capable of handling himself tonight. He's old school, and can hang.

Palin, on the other hand, has been sheltered by the McCain campaign. Her performance in tonight's debate will be purely her own. At some point she has to stand and carry her own weight.

Here's my prediction:

Palin has been cramming and she won't screw up her talking points tonight as badly as she did in the interviews which were not rehearsed. However, Palin will not look credible -- you can always tall a difference between a person who nailed down their $4*# cold, and a person who is an impostor.

Of course, whatever she does will work in the Red Belt.

I hope she has come up with a better answer for the 15 year old who has been raped by her father and impregnated.....

Truth is, when you take a hard-line stance on an issue.....you better be able to back it up. I have seen her adamantly for and against things she obviously has no clue about. I could list them but I would just be told that it's the media's fault she can't even back up her own ideals.

This whole pick was a sham. It was designed to try to get a few pissed off Hillary voters. It did NOT work. She has no idea what she herself believes, unless it's a "McCain-Palin policy"...

I think the outcome of tonight will play a huge role in who wins in November.

I have a feeling its going to be painful to watch (like Palins interview with Couric).

I hope im wrong as im a John McCain supporter. If she does well its going to be a neck and neck race, if she blows it like her last interview I guess I will accept defeat.

I have faith McCain knows what hes doing. So I wouldn't be shocked if Palin does a 180 and whoops Biden. Mostly wishful thinking.

You have my respect. You are unlike many other McCainista here, because you have the courage to not deny the obvious.

I like Palin for what she is, but I do think she's not the right person for VP.

Well if I'm wrong and she blows it then so be it. We'll have no choice but to accept defeat and to accept that the majority of the people want this country to be far worse off that it is now. It's the only reason why they would elect a man who stands for socialism.

A man who stands for socialism? hmmmm

Like George Bush nationalizing the financial industry? Like W socializing the losses of these companies while giving them multiple tax cuts at the same time?

Like Obama and McCain BOTH voting in favor of this bill?

Its been a long time since we went to socialism.

It's quite phenomenal that we get to hear how things will get definitely worse if we change the course of the past 8 years... The course that brought us at a strategic disadvantage in the world, the course in which our political capital was squandered and along with it, trillions of dollars. The course which gave us the financial disaster, thanks to approaches similar to what McCain espouses.

It's beyond me how things will get "far worse" if we vote the bloodsuckers out.

I'm not even an American, and I cannot wait to watch this debate. We're all going to play a drinking game....

-Anytime either or says a cliche, for example "freedom isn't free", take a shot
-Anytime Palin starts an answer with "Uh...um" that's two shots
-Anytime Biden giggles at Palin take a shot and giggle at your buddy next to you.

Anyway, it should be a very entertaining debate.

I could not agree more. John McCain admits to voting with General George 90% of the time. Hard to see how a McCain Administration will be anything more than 4 (possibly 8) more years of the same failed strategies. Then there's his age, making it a real possiblity that it will be a Palin Administration, and her 'experience' is running a state with a population smaller than the county I live in! Preposterous doesn't even come close to covering this possible scenario!

Just found these and thought I would share them.

bidenisms.net

Both are histerical, and topical as well.

I thought this was a thread about the debate, not a thread to criticize Palin before the debate even starts.

Biden is a gaffe machine, the moderator is writing a book about Obama and the rise of black politicians/politics, and Palin could/could not mess up tonight.

The debate is still 5 hours away....I guess a lot of people are going to tune in to watch a "presumed train wreck".
