McCain-Lieberman: McCain's attempt to outlaw gun shows?

Came across this in another forum, thought it was very interesting...

John McCain and Joe LIeberman apparently co-wrote a bill that made it possible to ban gun shows and restrict the sale of legal firearms greatly.

Thoughts about this? It seems that if you're concerned about gun rights, third party is the only way to go...
