I think I understand what you're talking about because I have the same kind of experience as well, it's just like you described. I was on the verge of falling asleep I sometimes feel a rush of loud sound and become wide awake.

It happens about 2-3 times a month, wonder what it is.

Kind of nice to know that there are other people besides myself that are experiencing it. Thanks
