Well, I bought a copy of this same book off of borders.com just last week. It's real, chapter 13 is about UFO's, however, nowhere does it say in this book that it was sanctioned by FEMA. There's no need for me to post scans, because any of you can goto amazon or borders and buy this book for yourselves. The real question here, is why are the disinformation specialists (or just plain confused people) trying to say this book was made/endorsed by FEMA, cause it wasn't.

If we are to believe that the COMETA report, a report on UFOs written by top ranking French military people, (then) FEMA prepared a UFO training manual for firefighters at its National Fire Academy.

If we are to believe the History Channel has "any" journalistic integrity coupled with reasonable, journalistic accuracy then one could justifiably conclude; where the COMETA Report is concerened through logical extension - and where the History Channel is concerened based on what was just sighted by means of journalistic integrity, that it is very unlikely they are "both" wrong.

In both cases they made "direct declarations" to a valid and real link between FEMA and the chapter in question. No amount of "research by proclamation," ("trying to say this book was made/endorsed by FEMA, cause it wasn't.") or name calling: "disinformation specialists" or assertions that impinge another's intelligence: "(or just plain confused people)," will undo the two "facts" above.

As always, your thoughts are respectfully solicited and welcome.

i'm sorry, i need a little more than a tv show and a report to make me a believer. i prefer to do my own research and so far have found nothing to support the claim of fema endorsement...

I think that if its going to be aired on the History Channel you can bet its going to be verifiable. At least I expect it to be ! If it isn't I'll complain about it myself to the History Channel , but I fully expect it to be verifiable.

I am sure FEMA has a chapter 13 about UFOs. I mean some UFOs are ETV's , what if one crashes in a residential neighborhood?

Like in Virginha , Brazil who has to respond first?

CyberSeal,

This is legit. I know me saying that doesn't move you, but I'm like you - I have to see it for myself to believe it, so a couple of years back I looked into this, and low and behold the official FireFighter's Manual did (I assume still does) have a whole section on how to handle a landed spacecraft.

Blew me away.

I'm a firefighter too and emergency communications officer. I'm trying to find this document too. Some people say it's the Fire Officers Guide. Others say it's the Incident Command Regs. Which is it? And how long ago were the directives published?

Its the Fire officers guide to disaster control.
I have a friend who is a long time firefighter as well, however he says they have never trained them in this area.
