I need some help to get together a survival medicine kit.
I dont mean a first aid kit but drugs like antibiotics etc.

I know its not always a good idea to use medicine without a doctors advise but I would ONLY use it in a emergency situation with no doctor around (war, disaster etc.)

What brand of antibiotics would you advise and why?
What other medicine have you stocked in your survival kit?

Thanks and peace!

Greetings and Felicitations U2U sent with list of vetenarian meds that can be used on humans, plus an article about treating plague.

I used to get extra antibiotics etc from health centres that cater for expeditions, you often find them near airports. you can actually buy complete sets of medicines from such places in kit form with instructions, If you do a google for expedition medical supplies you should find a good source, But dont buy from E bay or none UK registered companies or they will rip you off.

Also you may wish to buy Ragnar Bensons little book called survival nursing, and another whos author i cant remember called Where There Is No Doctor. In the US many survivalist buy vetenarian antibiotics from vets and farm stores, Caveat emptor.
