current fed offical Richard Fisher as first reported in bloomberg story

Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher said the proposed $700 billion rescue of financial institutions backed by Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke would plunge the U.S. government deeper into a fiscal abyss.

The plan by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to buy troubled assets from financial institutions would put "one more straw on the back of the frightfully encumbered camel that is the federal government ledger," Fisher said today in the text of a speech in New York. "We are deeply submerged in a vast fiscal chasm."

now after it was doctored

Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher said the U.S. Treasury's proposed $700 billion rescue of financial institutions would be ``a critical first step'' toward calming markets even while adding to the U.S. government's fiscal burden.

The plan by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to buy troubled assets from financial institutions ``is an incremental addition to the federal government ledger,'' Fisher said today in a speech in New York. Existing federal obligations in Medicare and Social Security mean ``we are deeply submerged in a vast fiscal chasm,'' he said. "

looks like the wallstreet /establishment party are getting desperate and are pulling the short leashes on the editors of the major media and getting them to really spin anything that is against there planned coup de power and bailout/giveaway to insiders to try to influence /confuse america's people to back this S*&^ sandwich.

email these loosers and tell em how you feel.

also i was reading a story on how china was going to stop lending to u.s banks if the original bailout plan was launched, and that is what slowed the processes yesterday. gotta go do work

Starred and Flagged!

Nice catch!

I agree we should all remind the media that they have lost all camouflage over this matter and their editorial escapades are not going unnoticed.

Journalism is dead.

Couldn't agree with you more on journalism being dead.

This bunch is so desperate to push this garbage they will go to any lengths.

I applaud the House Republicans for standing up to this bill. They are fighting to keep this from getting past and are proposing free market solutions to this problem. Solutions that people like Harry Reid are snickering about and saying that they should "get real".

I can't imagine their being any doubt left about how corrupt Pelosi, Reid, Shchumer, Frank, and Dodd are at this point. They seem to have no boundaries for how low they will stoop.
