The campaigns know about this already. They are trying to register as many new voters as possible. But there is still a huge amount of people who want nothing to do with the process.

those people don't vote because they know it's just gives the people a false sense that they're actually doing something to influence the country...when in reality it's the electoral college who does it.

A few thousand more voters in places like Florida and Ohio would make the difference.
