Israel gave serious thought this spring to launching a military strike on Iran's nuclear sites but was told by President George W Bush that he would not support it and did not expect to revise that view for the rest of his presidency, senior European diplomatic sources have told the Guardian.

1) if this has been posted already please delete my thread.... otherwise..... did Bush finally do something right????? I'm shocked (if the article is true)! I'm so frustrated with the political scene. Bush wants to take upwards of a trillion from the taxpayers.

I know the decision to not bomb Iran was a slam dunk, but it goes against the grain of what Bush has been doing for 8 years--screw the United States citizens with bad policy after bad policy. It makes me wonder if this was "let out to the public." for political reasons. Maybe there wasn't any money in it for himself and his cronies. I'm flustered. Open to discussion.
