Found an interesting picture in a Flight blog today. It talks about the future networking capability of the USAF. It appears that they will be removing the Rockwell Collins Tactical Targeting Networking Technology completely. Primary link will be through the Harris Multifunction Advanced Data Link. That's the primary datalink that is going to be put into the F-35 JSF. There's also talk of a previously unknown Advanced Tactical Data Link. It would appear that the ATDL is going to take all the current data link systems and be able to link them all together without having to have all the same types on all aircraft.
