Long time no read

Question: Since you think this is a 'conspiracy' could you answer a few questions?

1. Do Archaeologists like to release partial information on site or do they perfer to complete the excavation and do the publications first?

2. In you experience how long does it take to evac a site the size of KV63, analyze what is found, have the specialists do their work and consolidate that all into a published report?

3. Does old Zahi like to present things in a blaze of media?

When you answer the three questions above you'll have the answer to your 'conspiracy'.

Oh, regretably their is no evidence for an earlier civilization having been in the land of Misr, just the neolithic farmers/hunter-gathers who later evolved into the Egyptians. So the dating shows. Perhaps you can point to a site that has unknown pottery, stone tools, skeletonal remains of people unknown and not ancestors to the AE?

Good to see you posting again, I'll be able to get back to this forum in a few days.

You are asking me about the reasons these individuals kept one of the biggest discoveries of Egyptology secret and made false statements about the date of its discovery?

I dont know.

Your explanation seems to say "it just all takes a lot of time".

So whats so secret about this place?

I am so confused......

Why all the coverup?

I dont know. But since they do it so often, I´d guess its something really important, maybe money and power related.

What if its ET related?

Im not saying that because of my name......Its a logical guess........

Or maybe some sort of stargate?

Why would they try and hide money?

Why wouldn't they protect the surrounding area? To make sure intruders don't go investigating forgotten tombs.....

Why make it an obvious conspiracy? By having people, looks like once a decade or so, discover this site, then go back on their claims or be threatened.....It just looks to obvious from the casual observer.....

This whole thing stinks of ET tech to me

Of course it does. They find some unusual artifact and need some time to get rid of it before they can "publish their results".

The name Zahi Hawass, in my not so highly educated personal dictionary, means Subterfuge, Distrust and Dishonesty.

Looking into his history shows he gained his position via the application of dirty tactics to become the Head of Antiquities and therefore gain total control over what happens with any research and digs.

Just ask Rudolph Gatenbrink, or any other researcher looking for the real truth of Egyptian History, and you will find they have all had their permits revoked and been escorted out of the country when they find something new, especially if that find does not coincide with the traditional historical view of Egypt that Mr Hawass is so fond of maintaining as the only true history.

There also seems to be another aspect to his works, one where he gains the personal Kudos for other people's finds. Witness how often his face appears on the TV screen in documentaries, all vetted through him, and which allows him to portray himself in his ridiculous costume of choice from the Tomb Raider movies..... lol, and lol agin.... it really makes me laugh.

In essence, if Mr Hawass is involved we can be assured there is something else going on! Remember the turn of the century documentary called "The Opening of the Lost Tombs"? I noted so many inconsistencies that I hurt myself by laughing too hard.

What inconsistencies you may ask? How about, "we have only recently dicovered the tomb of Osiris", and, "you are the first people to see this"... while other researchers had found the entrance more than 4 years previously to the date he claimed, and yes, that was just prior to them being escorted onto a plane, lol.

The Tomb was already well cleared out before TV crews gained entry and were able to show us the tunnels leading "elsewhere", the staircases and lighting already in position for the flood of tourists, etc. By the way, Mr Hawass's answer to the question of "Where do these tunnels lead?", was, "We don't know as they haven't been cleared yet" stood in stark contrast to the footage showing perfectly cleared out tunnels as far as the camera crews lights could penetrate.

Another one.... do you remember him taking us into a tight little tomb and watch as he uncovered the coffin (wood) of some reasonably unimportant personage? Who noticed how easily he removed the sand from around the coffin? Did you also notice that the sand wasn't the same as the surrounding area of the coffin? I did. I could plainly see they had poured surface sand around the coffin so he could find it on "liveTV". How did I deduce this? The sand was a completely different color, in fact, it matched the surface sand in color and light reflecting ability, it was loose and not packed in any way consistent with digging for the first time.

So, believe nothing where Mr Hawass is concerned. Let's all hope that one day the truth of what is there, already found and removed will come to light. Just out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea what has happened to the Capstone that was supposedly found before 2000, or the where-abouts of any Crown that has been found? Personal collections you say? lol

You see a good example of "Artifact Shaving" on "Digging for the Truth" with Josh Bernstein. Can't remember the episode, but it actually shows him defacing a carving and engraving a History Channel "H" in it's place. The whole action supposedly only took a few minutes. Imagine what could be done in the years since this thing was first discovered.

I remember reading about a few cases where tombs were actually 'lost', where some guy finds something, but then for whatever reason, records are lost, and they don't find the place again for decades. I don't remember any as recent as the 1980s, though, and I really doubt that's the case here. It might just be a case of Hawaas dragging his feet as he always does; he loves to take his sweet time on everything, but that doesn't explain the conflicting dates of 'discovery'.

The one thing that is really nagging at me though is that I know I have read about this particular tomb before, but I cannot remember how long ago it was. I suspect I'm remembering Feb. 2006 date when they announced its 'discovery'; I probably read the announcement then.

Something here smells really fishy. I'm not sure exactly what, though, but it's not all adding up in my mind.

Thanks for the good laugh on Hawass Television antics.

No, I do not know about any capstone. I remember them wanting to place one on the Pyramid for the year 2000, but that was an artificial one, right?

As for crowns: We´ve found a lot of the objects depicted in the AE paintings...but we´re still short of a lot of crowns. Thats a good and important question to pursue.

Another great post! I have starred and flagged it. I am interested in ancient history, and also the possibility of civilization being thousands of years older than previously believed. Keep up digging good articles.

Gatenbrink never had a permit, so his permit was never revoked. Nor was he "escorted" out of Egypt.

The permit he was operating under was not renewed because its' holders, the German Institute in Cairo, did not apply for renewal.

Apparently, it was they that had the falling out with Gatenbrink.

There was nothing special about what Gatenbrink was doing anyway, and the SCA completed (eventually, through a Japanese team) what little work there was left re. the tiny so-called "door" in the (what was it, 13 inch?) shaft.

It is worth noting that the Queens Chamber was closed to the public for nine months immediately after the discovery of the Gatenbrinki door; the excuse was that they were going to clean graffiti.

Nine months later it is re-opened and the graffiti that was supposed to have been the cause of the closure, it was still there. Am late, late, late no time to find a link -- I have it in a book -- if no one else does, I will post a link later.

Cheers!

Cayce-followers have a knack for knowing things long before they are published by the Egyptian Ministry of "Culture".

This is one of dozens of known cases and Im happy to say, a less known case.

uhm... you DO realize that Hawass himself was a Cayce follower? He was very active in the ARE at one time.

I realized they use Cayce-followers for help, but I didnt know that Hawass himself was a Cayce follower, considering how he talks about "people like that".

If I may:

In Egypt, A.R.E. members Joe Jahoda and Dr. Joseph Schor have been unable to obtain permission to do further additional radar analysis of the 25 x 40 foot underground cavern that they discovered near the Sphinx in 1997. NASA scientists verified the cavern and Jahoda and Schor were allowed to do limited drilling in order to drop cameras down for a better look. Although the cavity appeared to be a natural formation, it made what may be an unnatural, 90-degree turn. Tentative approval was given for a more sophisticated radar analysis to be done in 1999. Due to a bureaucratic snafu, the permits were not approved. In a July 2001 article on the web site of the National Geographic Society, Zahi Hawass, Director General of the Giza Plateau, is said to have recently “urged other archaeologists to join him in a two year moratorium on all excavations in the area from Giza to Aswan.” The only explanation given is Hawass’ concern for the preservation of the existing monuments.

Read all about it and the three other times discoveries were made and Hawass then stops them.

I've read ARE's take on this. Of course this is their claim, their "prophet" can't be wrong, can he? No more moneymaker.

This so -called "chamber" discovered in 1997 was drilled into and explored at the time via videocameras. What more do you want? It was found to be, surprise, surprise, a natural void in an old limestone plateau!

Why would Hawass be in any hurry to drill more around the rotten limestone under the Sphinx?

Also, I'm amused at how this "chamber" keeps hopping around:
from your link:

the 25 x 40 foot underground cavern that they discovered near the Sphinx in 1997.

but according to another ARE site:

In 1997 they identified a 25 x 40 foot cavity near the right front paw of the Sphinx...

Source

And then according to Robert Bauval:

have know Dr. Schor since May 1994, when we first met at Virginia Beach in Norfolk, USA, at the headquarters of the Edgar Cayce Foundation. In May 1996 the Schor Foundation, in collaboration with the Florida State University, were granted a licence by the Supreme Council Of Antiquities in Egypt (SCA) to conduct seismographic and radar surveys at Giza. During this survey the Schor team discovered with their radar a tunnel running some 40 feet below the rump of the Great Sphinx

You want an explanation? First tell me where this so-called "chamber" is located.

It always takes a lot of time. If you have answered the questions honestly you now know your conspiracy is no such thing. I would point out that any tourist walking in the VOTKs would have noted the work there - so no big secret. Here is a few more questions for you.

Who is Zahi's boss? Or do you think he's has ultimate power? LOL

Who was the 'man' before Zahi? how did policies change when he stepped down?

When Zahi retires who will be his replacement?

As an example from KV 62

1922
The first step to the stairs were found on 4 November. The following day saw the exposure of complete staircase. The end of November saw access to the Antechamber and discovered of Annexe, and then to the Burial Chamber and Treasury.

On 29 November, the tomb was officially opened, and the first announcement and press conference followed the next day, The first item was removed from the tomb on 27 December.

1923
16 February saw the official opening of the Burial Chamber, and 5 April saw the death of Lord Carnarvon.

1924
On 12 February the granite lid of the sarcophagus was raised. In April, Carter argued with the Antiquities Service, and left the excavation for the United States.

1925
In January, Carter resumed activities in the tomb, and on 13 October he removed the cover of the first sarcophagus, 23 October removed the cover of the second sarcophagus, 28 October the team removed the cover of the final sarcophagus and exposure of the mummy, and on 11 November the examination of the remains of Tutankhamun started.

The pharaoh's alabaster vase1926
Work started in the Treasury on 24 October.

1927
Between 30 October and 15 December, the Annexe was emptied and examined.

1930
On 10 November, 8 years after the discovery, the last objects are removed from the tomb.

Linky

So around eight years to clear - care to guess when the first papers came out?
