We wouldnt get the money, because that would be to easy and to smart.
These $%#@rs, dont know a thing about a thing.

Heres some facts about money spent and where it should go.
These people political %$#@rs need to be wiped off the earth .. RIGHT NOW.
(get ready to be sick)

I got this in an email, shows you they have no clue...absolutely NO clue.

Louisiana Senator,
Mary Landrieu (D)
is presently asking Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans Interesting number...
what does it mean?

A.
Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child)
you each get $516,528.

B.
Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C.
Or... if you are a family of four...
your family gets $2,066,012.

Now, my point is simple.
Would any civilian, EVER, see any of that money in cash ? NO!!!

Like I said, these %$##rs, need to be cleaned off this earth.

Well you can't give it to the people straight up because it's un-constitutional. But you can't give it to the government either. So the bail-out was unconstitutional. But the constitution isn't reallly even enforced anymore. Socialized Health Care and No Child Left Behind, all of these things are steering this country towards a more socialistic way of life. All of these powers belong to the states. I think we need to get this country out of debt too. I think we need to stop importing so much from China and get the American Manufacturing Industry back online. American Steel, American Vehicles, American Clothing etc. If we just started making our own stuff we could create thousands of jobs. Some of them may not be what people want, but at least it's a job. China has piles of money just sitting around while we have to trudge through the sludge of debt. Debt Relief wont come easy, but if we can get this economy more independent then we can start to rise out of the pit. It's not the government that will create permanent jobs, it will be the entrepreneurs. For example, the Miners mine the raw materials which are sent to the Plants where they are turned into parts and steel and molded, where they are then sent to various industries to be used in cars, furniture, and basically anything we can think of! Government created jobs wont last and when you think about it, everyone of us works for the government, the more you make, the more they take.

My firm opinion is whenever there is a collective group of people that pay into a system to look after their well being...all programs derived from that collective should be geared to benefit the individual first, and the means to accomplish it second.

OP you are correct. There was a study done regarding all the bailout monies in the last year could have paid off almost all mortgage loans in the USA. Now I ask, why in the world the government didn't just buy up all mortgages, and give the homeowner a super low interest rate so that they may pay their share, have their home, and have some additional spending money in their pocket. This could have really jump started the economy from the bottom up and alleviated the banks balance sheet.

Here is the ugly of what the government did...they forced the lower income, laid off worker out of their homes, supplied the banks money to continue operating. In turn the banks got all the money and raised interest rates on everyone that currently has a job, or is able to pay their bills. This further weakens the consumer resulting in less spending of the middle class.
