Just What can the Weather throw at Us?

After coming across the following video I got thinking - just how bad can a storm get? Have we seen the limit of the destructive power of nature or could it reach new heights never imagined before recent climate change?





What do you think - are such occurrences just freaks of nature that will always represent the limit or can we expect to be even more astounded by forces beyond our control?

I have no proof, but I believe the planet tries to keep itself in balance. Too much of a certain predator, certain weather conditions, etc, and the planet replies in kind. I try to be a good skeptic, but I worry that Mother Nature has some REALLY horrific natural events to throw at us to try and balance the damage we've done so far.
