Good find - that object looks very interesting.

I'm not a geologist by any stretch of the imagination but the object really does look symetrical and concentric, doesn't it - it's a shame there's no sense of scale that is obvious in the picture. It looks like a broken amulet (perhaps, depending on it's size??) but I've really no idea if this sort of "artifact" occurs "naturally" on Earth (let alone the different conditions, etc, on Mars). Perhaps a Exo-geologist could give a possible explanation??

The object in question looks like a fish hook or something but i think its part of a covered rock its not excactly round is it

very nice. looks like any object that's circular that's partly buried under martian soil. it's an ancient wheel that the aliens stole from us back in the day. actually i have no idea whatsoever what it could be. do objects such as, even occur naturally on earth?

this could only be "the tip of the ice burg" as it were, it's halv covered by the mars soil / dirt / sand what ever, so how do we know it's only an alien washer?

Its an impression from the MS on the Rovers arm, and covered elsewhere as heelstone mentioned.
