...My take is the woman accused, has and most probably is still under some form of mind control. ...

Actually, now that I've read this thread and thought about....How does a woman rape a 5 year old boy? Like, how is it physically possible?
What I hate is they never ask the vicitim if it was consentual. Did that boy agree to it? Did he ask first and she agreed? Did he enjoy it and watned it to happen?

There's just so much more that people don't get the answers to.
For all we know, the kid enjoyed it and it was consentual. So why the life in prison? For having sex with someone? That's rediculous.

Who the hell knows if they can or not. have you ever sat down with a young child and asked them if they wanted to have sex and see what they say? No. So how are you so sure?
There is no way to tell this sexist. The judge chooses the sentence and remember sentences aren't placed within strict rules or regulations. Sometimes judges deal with cases on a personal level, but as a woman you should know that women are taken overly serious in court I've seen it many, many times. I've seen women make up a lie to get their husband, or boss, or neighbor in trouble. The court usually leeways to the women when they are the supposed victimized. I'm not denying what you are saying, but women have more power or better chance in court systems. My guess would be that the judge was absolutely disgusted with the crime and handed her a nice fat sentence.

Yeah, but as a female, I have to say I think it is sexist.
Not that she doesnt deserve that, but male sex offenders and pedophiles rarely get that kind of sentence.
Some data on sentences in Texas which is not known for its soft and liberal treatment of criminals.
www.window.state.tx.us...
Between 1991 and 1997, the number of sex offenders in Texas prisons increased by 130 percent. The average sentence length for sex offenders increased from 13.9 to 15.1 years, mainly because of increased sentence lengths for sex crimes against children. The average sentence length for sexual assault of a child increased from 16.5 to 18.6 years.
Again, before I get flamed all over the place, I am NOT saying that she didnt deserve the punishment. I think she does. I am saying that ALL pedophiles deserve that sort of punishment. And that I believe that the females get harsher treatment because it violates our sense of "women as the protectors of children," while we almost seem blase when it is another male pedophile.

The victim doesn't remember the act? Well, that pretty much throws the "she ruined his life!" bit right out the window.
