So, I work at a call center for one of the various cable/internet/telephone companies that cares only about money. Sounds like an amazingly ridiculous
job right? Don't lie, because yes, it is one of those such jobs.
Now, I've been following alot of topics on here, and even delving deeper into such catergories as the Denver International Airport and Dulce.
But what about Scott Airforce Base? My supervisor is pretty interested in things like this aswell, giving me various links and stories about the most
oddball and off the wall stuff I've read in a while. I remember him talking about Dulce and the various caverns and caves and highways carving
through the underworld. Which is where my personal segment takes place. At work. On the phone. Talking to some *SNIP* about how his service sucks and
how he wants to cancel.
The call after the last, was a guy from calling from Scott Airforce Base(SAB), and of course, his internet was not working. The conversation
began like most did, saying my lines and listening to his issues and what not. He was a pretty friendly guy, or sounded like it. I had remembered what
my supervisor had told me about SAB being one of the many entrances to the underworld caves of Aliens and such and, jokingly, said to this kind
gentleman, "Maybe the Aliens are messing with your Internet!" His response threw me off, saying, "Nah, too early."
I stopped for a second and listened through my phone, wondering if I had heard right.
"I'm sorry Sir?" i asked, hoping he would repeat it. The friendly guy I had been speaking with was replaced with an irrate *SNIP* who
immediatly screamed, "ARE YOU GONNA FIX MY INNERNET OR NOT?!" Conversation over.
Obviously i fixed his issue no questions asked and he got off of the phone pretty quick. His response though, is what keeps getting to me. "Nah,
too early." What does that even mean?
