After careful consideration, it is my opinion that Islamic Fundamentalists want nothing more than to kill everyone that is not them. They don't want the infidels to move their troops off of their holy land. They don't want the infidels to reconsider their foreign policy. They are not angry about the fact that they're poor. In fact, they relish in it. They do not want peace. They want WAR!

And if it is war that they want, it is war they will get.

Decisively,

Do you think they act alone, and want to kill all non-believers?
Or, do you think they are part of a bigger agenda?

Either way, I'm not much in favor of wearing a burka

BTW, cool new avatar!!

Yes, they will make you wear a burka. Every woman will be required to stay at home and do 'womanly duties' without shoes on, unless escorted into the marketplace by a male relative. You will not be allowed to work, voice your opinion, or educate yourself in anything other than the Q'uran. This is the fundamentalists' vision of their 'New World Order'. They are just daft enough to believe they could make theirs happen.

Well let's see,

According to the Koran. Jihad is a war and the aim is nothing short of an Islamic World, your choice is either to convert or die, not a lot of options. This is one of their rationales that civilians are fair game. Go figure

That is correct. Jihad is intended to eradicate ALL non-believers. The Q'uran does state that Jihad is intended to destroy evil whenever it encroaches on Muslim holy land. It also states that wherever a Muslim sets his foot is Muslim holy land.

Isn't that convenient?

I use to think that if an Islamic country were able to pull itself out of the poverty of the region it had a good chance of curbing radical religous movements but sadly this is not the case. Countries like Saudi Arabia and Oman are very wealthy but ultimately impotent to stop Islamic Fundamentalists. I am all for giving Islamic Extremism what it so badly wants, Jihad. But that would entail the whole sale bombing of their fundamentalist brainwash factories (which some may claim are schools) and the more radical Mosques used to spread the opposite message of Islam. Some people may not have the strength of character to acknowledge that would be the only way to break the will of such a dilluted people.

Schools and Mosques that they know we will not destroy (at least overtly), because the know we are bound by the Law of Land Warfare and Geneve conventions. They are using our integrity against us!

Ummm, that is not correct and you are a fool for believing such ignorance.

It's obvious the both of you have never read the Holy Qur'an. You just believe what the media says. Your just them other people, like them sheep.

According to the Qur'an, there are TWO Jihad's. One is the bigger Jihad and the other is the lesser Jihad.

The bigger and the most important Jihad is the Jihad one has with himself. The battle within, the struggle and perseverance.

The lesser and non important Jihad does require military action but the Qur'an has limits with this Jihad. Only when a Muslim is attacked or is being attacked is when a Muslim can fight. The Qur'an punishes any man who kills any innocent blood.

As a matter of fact, it says in the Qur'an that if you kill an innocent man its as if you killed the whole world and if you save an innocent man its as if you saved the entire world.

And the whole convert or die theory is old too. The Qur'an says Christians, Jews, and Muslims ALL have their reward with God as long as they have faith, good works, believe in the law, and believe in the Last Day.

Only speak what you know.

I am speaking of Islamic Fundamentalists. You are speaking of good Muslims who believe and obey the Q'uran. There is a difference, and it is in thier interpretation and adherence.

I have read the Q'uran.

As such, perhaps these will help Illmatic?
Making Sense of Jihad vs. Hirabah
Hirabah versus Jihad
What is jihad? What is terrorism?
Statement by Muslim scholars

Btw, just a side question Illmatic, what are your thoughts on suicide bombings, according to your beliefs and how they relate to Islam?

Then I suggest you be clear next time because once you speak falsely of the Holy Qur'an you include all Muslims.

Very true but I think at some juncture in the future we will have to abandon the cold war idea of "integrity" because I think it is wrong to treat an islamic militant like an upstanding soldier of a real national army. The Geneva conventions were proposed to save the lives of rational and for the most part civilized European soldiers, last time I checked I dont think anyone has discovered a rational or decent Islamic militant.

Seekerof, I can't speak for the Islamic Fundamentalists because obviously I am not one.

You can post all your little links as long as you want but the fact is the Qur'an condemns the killing of innocent people.

Murdering of innocent people is terrorism the last time I checked.

The only comment I have on the suicide bombings is they are being carried out by Islamic Fundamentalists. Again for the 9th time, the Qur'an condemns the killing of innocent people.

Christian fundamentalism is not Christianity just not same as Islamic fundamentalism is not of Islam.

But think about it...

They professed to believe in Christ. If you asked them if they were Christians, they would undoubtedly tell you they were.

Not only were they Christians, they were fundamentalist, Puritan Christians.
