Palin to speak at anti-Iran rally in NYC

Sarah Palin will speak at next week's Jewish-sponsored rally to protest Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the United Nations.

In addition to Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee and Alaska governor, confirmed speakers include U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), Iranian dissidents, black ministers, Jewish leaders and Israeli Tourism Minister Isaac Herzog, according to a key group organizing the rally, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

Asked if there would be someone from the Obama campaign at the demonstration, Hoenlein noted the presence of Clinton as a leading Democrat.

The rally, part of efforts by Jewish groups to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, will be held at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 22. It is expected to draw thousands of participants to Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, across from the United Nations.

I find this quite interesting. I will be looking for information of her speach once it's done; it should be quite telling on teh Republican stance to Iran and how far they'll go.

This should not be allowed. THis women quoted Westbrook Pegler, during her RNC speech. SHe did not name the auther, but it is widely known, expecially by older Americans his famous quote: "We grow good peopl in small towns ...." The reason she did not give his name is becuase of who this man was and what he stood for. As a Jewish person, you should educate yourself before allowing this women to speak. This was a code message and more than half of Americans missed it. Just google and see. Pegler also said that Robert F Kennedy should have his spoonfull of brains splattered publically by a white southern purist. It is fact, not fiction. Please cancel her speech and let the people know.

Palin will attend. Hillary Clinton will not be there.

elections.foxnews.com...

Hillary Clinton has pulled out of an appearance at a New York rally next week to protest Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, her aides say because she doesn’t want to be seen alongside Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in a “partisan” event.

We can't have bi-partisanship during an election?

If Hillary Clinton was suppose to be the representative from the Obama campaign, who will replace her? How about Nancy Pelosi, or Michelle Obama? Can anyone else think of a prominent Demcrat woman that could attend on Obama's behalf?

Why is there and "Anti-Iran" rally in the first place? That is so stupid! Aren't there better things to do than instigate hatred toward Iran? Give me a break!

RRConservative, why do you call for a Democratic woman? This whole gender thing has gone off the deep end!

On Wednesday, an Obama campaign source said that the campaign had not been contacted about participating in the rally until just that morning, following Clinton's pullout and Palin's acceptance. The source said someone would be participating on behalf of the campaign but didn't supply that person's name, adding that Clinton's withdrawal was not believed to be coordinated with the campaign.

Reply to Benevolent Heretic:

For some reason I thought they were protesting the treatment of women in Iran, in addition to a protest of how they are treating Israel.

Regardless, Obama's camp does see the importance of having a representative at this event. Male or Female...it doesn't matter.

Thanks for pointing that out!

It's still a shame that Hillary opted out because she/Obama doesn't want to seem partisan.
