I regularly run an anti-virus / spyware scan on my computer and when it detects anything I delete it and don't usual pay much attention to what exactly it is that has been found. I have just had a look in my anti-virus log to find that just over a month ago the scan had detected and deleted a subliminal flash virus. Can't find any information on this type of virus and i'm curious, has anyone heard of / encountered this kind?

I've heard of Subliminal flash (to hypnotize yourself into losing weight, having better self esteem, etc) programs being caught by spyware/ av programs - maybe you downloaded something like that?

subliminalflash(1).exe is the name of the virus.

I've heard of the subliminal flash downloads too but as far as i'm aware i've not downloaded any of these, with intention anyway! Could be that though, i guess going online is like going into a doctors waiting room, you never know what you're going to catch!
