According to Andy Worhol:

In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.

We have all had moments of fame or glory to some degree and now I would like to hear your stories of your 15 minutes of fame no matter how fleeting or extensive.

Many moons ago I made 3 national newspapers on a speeding charge. I am not proud of it, but I guess that was my 15 mins. The Sun made up some of their story, taught me a lesson in how the press operates.

Very nice. I have never heard the song before but I like it.
How long ago was this made and can you identify yourself? Where abouts in the crowd were you?

I was also in a magazine for skateboarding back before I blew out my knees

I sang with LeeAnn Rimes at the Myerson Symphony Hall in Dallas before she became a famous countrysinger and before I hit puberty haha.

That was a long time ago, so hopefully I'll get a better shot at 15 minutes. Maybe my last stand against the NWO!

I was in the paper twice... one I was young and was hanging out with the wrong crowd. The other, I was on a team and we were building money for a Charter school for kids with ADD/ADHD. We were mentioned on the front page as well as on the radio.

So we do have some 'famous' people here..who needs Robbie Williams..

This is cool to see the different experiences the members have had and the wide variety of claims to fame.

Thanks for pointing yourslef out. I would never have picked it. If ever I see the clip now I can proudy say I know one of the participants...

Prozac, your story was very interesting. Just shows how the media can totally balls things up. Has anyone elses media exposure been twisted I wonder?

Eye, It is good to see you managed to redeem youself....

In 1969 I was in several videos taken at the Woodstock Music Festival in Bethel, New York.

About 10 years ago when I went to the post office to mail my tax return at 11:50 PM on April 15Th the local TV station was doing a story for the next days news at 6. The reporter asked me why I was mailing my return so late and my famous answer was...." I work better under preasure ". It was rather embarrassing to watch the next evenings news.

I've had several other " 15 minutes of fame " but my identity could be compromised and that ain't gonna happen.

I've been lucky and had a couple! I was on my college dance team and we got to do some really amazing things and meet great people. My favorite "15 minutes" were

1. Had my picture in ESPN Magazine
1. Made it onto TV (with my team) during NBA All Star Weekend and ESPN College Awards

It's amazing the things everyone else on here has done

i was in the paper because i had won the second annual invention convention in the 5th grade.
