This is sad news.

No band has given me more pleasure than Pink Floyd, nor has any music served as the soundtrack for so many of the most sublime moments of my life.

This is very sad news
Btw, he wrote this song:

Pink Floyd - Summer '68 (1970)

Lyrics

Would you like to say something before you leave?
Perhaps you'd care to state exactly how you feel?
We say goodbye before we've said hello
I hardly even like you, I shouldn't care at all
We met just six hours ago, when the music was too loud
From your bed I gained a day and lost a bloody year
And I would like to know
How do you feel? How do you feel?
How do you feel? How do you feel?

Not a single word we said, delights still without fears
Occasionally you showed a smile, but what was the need?
I felt the cold far too soon in the work of nine to five
My friends are lying in the sun, I wish that I was there
Tomorrow brings another town and another girl like you
Every time before you leave to greet another man
Just to let me know
How do you feel? How do you feel?
How do you feel? How do you feel?

Goodbye to you
Charlotte Kringles dew
I've had enough for one day

One of my all time favorite concerts ever, bar none. I saw Pink Floyd in Dallas in 1989
Very sad.

One of the greatest bands ever, music and lyrics melded into one great album after another. The world is a richer place after having been touched by Wright's talent.

Another sad passing. Pink Floyd got me through many a night in college, just think, Comfortably Numb. Enough said.
