this to me seems like a very strange idea...we all already know that a lot of conspiracy theories are not supported by government agencies and/or large parts of the scientific community...seems to me a badge from a government agengy stating a particular site is not of a trustworthy nature would actually make it MORE trustworthy to exactly those people who are supposed to be guided away from it...

Sir Tim told BBC News that there needed to be new systems that would give websites a label for trustworthiness once they had been proved reliable sources.


Giving a trustworthiness label to all the websites in the world, though the idea is good, implementing that would be next to impossible.


Based on world wide internet traffic and the number of websites popping up everyday it will never be possible in the earths lifetime.
