The Guards' Story-Guards from Australia's toughest detention centres speak out

www.abc.net.au

They stand pristine and empty, cocooned in a silence broken intermittently by the roar of low-flying fighter jets. Woomera and Baxter detention centres, pitched in desert to confine thousands of people from across the seas, have outlived their idea. They exist as harsh monuments to history – with powerful stories to tell.

The longer I stare at "my" country the more disgusted I get.

I will endeavour (God willing) to make the 40 minute [free use-public domain] video available + link in about 22 hours.

The Australian people were/are outraged about this BS torture and scared TPTB into closing most of these disgrasful prisons.

Whilst I don't have the evidence that these and the USA FEMA camps are connected "our puppet goverment' jumps when Uncle Sam calls.

If you have google earth have a squizz at PINE Gap Northern Territory,and/or Roxby/Olympic dam USX (Union Steel USA)

NUKE SILOS plus Uranium enrichment plant plus we [me a tax payer] built highways and bridges to get the s### out ASAP.

google earth co-ords

Doesn't sound to me like you should be disgusted with your country. Perhaps those in charge, but not your country.

they are detention centers used to house illegal immigrants, who usually try to gain access to Australia through our northern boarders

the most famous incident is the Children Overboard Scandal

en.wikipedia.org...

the most famous/controversial of these centers is located in Woomera, South Australia (which is incidentally one of the former Nuclear Test sites in Australia)

Those detention centres are a testament to why we voted Howard out of government. It was a disgrace that they were built in the first place let alone used even after proof of wrongful detention and abuse was found.

TPTB that authorised these abominations should rot slowly in hell.
