Hackers attack Large Hadron Collider

www.telegraph.co.uk

"Hackers have mounted an attack on the Large Hadron Collider, raising concerns about the security of the biggest experiment in the world as it passes an important new milestone."

"If they had hacked into a second computer network, they could have turned off parts of the vast detector and, said the insider, "it is hard enough to make these things work if no one is messing with it.""

I stumbled across this at Coast to Coast.

It just always baffles me that someone who is concerned that an experiment such as this may pose a danger would then go out of their way to pull stunts like this that may actually CAUSE the danger.

Like the fellow in the articl says, "...it is hard enough to make these things work if no one is messing with it."

Gotta love 'em for their tenacity.
