in the circled area:

I found this:

circled

modified contrast and brightness

but remember the first image:

shadow

this shadow is very interesting looks like another tower, and this is after inversion:

I would just like to say WOW!

Looking at the shadow on the top of the structure notice the black shadow area which is completely filled in would suggest that it has actual walls around the top. Great find and another unexplainable stucture. S&F

ok i see three options here,

1- somekind of hill or structure and the angle of the sun is making the shadow appear bigger than the actual anomaly is...

2-there is a small hill or structure and there is a hole or somekind of depression behind it wich is adding to the effects of the shadow.

3-nothing vertical and there is just a depression or hole and is making it appear to be a shadow of something.

need other photo's of same area to know for sure.

Is it me or that first photo has the sunlight coming from the left on the left side and from the right on the right side?

It is an interesting anomaly, but wouldn't there be more structures near it? I am guessing it is natural, but would love to see an up close picture of it.
I guess I don't see the logic in putting up pyramids on a place that has no atmosphere to breath and enjoy them.

is it just a big shadow making it appear as if there is something there ?

Looks like a walkway or corridor again leading up to the structure. Notice the completely round shadow at the end, some kind of round foyer or structure with walls completely surrounding it causing the shadows. Very nice blowup. It gets stranger as we go!

I thought this one:

Looked like it had a head of alien on the right top side.

Notice straight or even one would like to say smooth edges of the "structure".

and this looks artificial to me.

That's cool.
And to some people, Pamela Anderson looks natural.
Just a matter of opinion I guess.

That image is LICKOBS9 January 1946

If you are going to link to my work there is no need to 'guess' as we have all the image information available...

www.thelivingmoon.com...

Sigh.... there is no end....

5 O'Clock position on that same original LICK image

Since the two Lick photos were scanned from John's collection we already did these in the John Lear moon thread page 23

January 1946 is the date of the full moon image

Same object appears in a 1968 photo from the LICK...

The crater above the anomaly is Petavius B

We were planning to do a whole feature on the Lick and other photos from the Archives that we tracked down to Santa Cruz, Ca where Jack lives...

But that won't be happening now... not here anyway...

Me with my daughter Raquel and Don Wright standing in front of the 120" Shane Reflector. Johnny Anonymous is taking the photo.

The photo archives..

Here is the full size of the photo in the OP... better to see the anomaly of Petavius B

As the Sun sets on the Lick Observatory...

I leave you all with a final image of the Full Moon... Rising above the Lick
