Could there be more to Irish Burial Mounds?

www.knowth.com

The Megalithic Passage Tombs of Newgrange, Knowth, Dowth, Fourknocks, Loughcrew and Tara are located in the present day County of Meath on the east coast of Ireland. The Boyne Valley Mounds at Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth were built around 3200BC making them older than Stonehenge in England and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

Anyone who takes an interest in the megalithics and there symbols should check this site out. Funny, I had heard an have known about alot of anient places but this one is new to me and i find it intriguing. These Burial mounds are over 5000 years old. Although there artwork is often thought of as being Celtic the mounds pre-date the Celts arrival in Ireland. They appear to be Caledars and gave significance to the Winter solstice. Personally i think the symbols might refer to the Milky Way. I think there is a lot of sybolism here. Especially with Newgrange in - Being quite Womb like. Take a look for yourselves and see what you think.
