Cameras are everywhere these days, on the highways, throughout buildings, and in your cell phone. And now a former Seattle police officer is marketing a tiny camera to area law enforcement agencies.

It's about three and half ounces, and is smaller than your standard pager. And it's rubberized, durable, completely waterproof. Basically it operates via one switch in the front, you just flip the switch on, it goes on, and when you flip the switch off, it goes off," says Steve Ward, founder of Vievu, currently promoting the device for use by businesses and individuals.

Ward says officers can wear the camera to record up to four hours of video. It can be used as evidence and to protect officers from false claims.

VieVu is selling the cameras to police agencies around the world. It's being tested by the Seattle Police Department.

Well, it's nice to have to the view that the cop would have and it might make them think twice before dealing heavy-handedly with someone. It might also make the public think twice but is it fair on those of use who are law-abiding to feel the eye of a camera filming us any time we are stopped by the cops or just happen to be in close vicinity?
