"You get points every time someone replies to a thread that you started, so you are actually getting him points as we speak nightwing "

Darn it Kano, I know that.
If you re-read my post, I tailored it to trip up the guy if
he is new. See the part about not starting a forum?
Now you spoiled it and I will never know if he was staff.
(Eh? Kano...he he)

As far as THENEO, I should have said HowardRoark. The
reference is to:

"To NEO, everyone is a spook" == Howard Roark.

Am I Wrong as usual? ==Trickmastertrick

No, just keenly observant. This post (forum) was moved from
the general discussion right before Kano's reply to
my second post. Eyes Front, TMT. This may not be
swamp gas.

Actually, 'hillbillies' are some of the most genuine people I've met. In the military, you get a lot of guys from the Ozarks, the bayou, savannha... generally backwoods, country types.

Maybe not the most booksmart, but lots of common sence and a very low tolerance for BS. And damn they can shoot!
DC

TypeT --->> Yes they can shoot! And I had a guy, Stanley Monroe from Sharps Ferry TN who'd NEVER seen a flush toilet until he joined the Corps. 'Ol Stanley could fix anything with nothing!

PS - The govmn't IS reading and taking notes here, but they don't own it!

Why would they shut it down??

It serves better purpose remaining up:

- Serves as a gathering place of a cross-section of probably the very people you may want to keep an eye on. Any good hunter knows the best place to stalk game is near the feeding/watering places or places they sleep/rest. Remain hidden, or even stealthy move within those areas...right amongst the very prey you hunt.

- Shutting it down gives credence. Leaving it up will keep us seen as just yet another online bunch of Tin-foil Hat Wearing Conspiracy Crack-pots.

- The wider populace dismisses what we discuss here as paranoid rantings from a group in serious need of medication. We pose little threat, for the real threat is not what we may know...but the prospect that what we may know becoming widely accepted...which it isn't. As such, we continue to be little more than buzzing gnats...a minor irritation. Any Authority doesn't need to act, for the communities as a whole we live in do a better job of suppression through ridicule and ostracisation.

Paranoia strikes deep, does it really matter that this site may or may not be run or infiltrated by government groups? If it is or isnt, does it really make a difference, all of you are still here actively taking part, so just kick on back and see what may or may not happen, or you can go deeper into hiding, that is if you can find a place to hide.

We are secretly being watched by the G.F.C.C.P.F (Global Federal Commission of Cheesy Porno Flicks). They read our post's about big foot and aliens, then go out and make a cheesy porn flick about them. Ain't it genious?...

Joking, of course. I doubt this place would be paid much attention to by government agencys like the CIA or FBi.

But you never know though...

Think about it, if you had to watch out for one group of people who could do serious damage to the country as opposed to a group of people excersizing their freedom of speech about things the CIA or FBI would probably roll their eyes about... Who would they watch more I wonder?

The best April 1 jokes are those that warn you in advance.

1. Consider this forum, and others like it. Note how the Moderators really
stomp on these. (I mean really, on a conspiracy site?) Paranoia is suspicious.

2. Suppose that "somebody" out there in these perilous times has a drastic
need to fullfill. The need is extrordinary. The need would be something like
having folks capable of both "thinking outside the box" and filtering thru
reams of disinfo/BS. Where would you go to recruit such folks?

3. Anybody besides me notice that some folks dissappear from this site
for non-obvious reasons, especially after reading some really interesting
stuff they do?

4. How would you reward a "successful recruiter"?
Perhaps by providing additional funding but "carefully" explaining it
to members. Perhaps by widening the scope and appeal of the recruiter.
NASA recognition comes to mind. As does ATSNN.

5. ATS is recruiting for whom?

gov monitor probably thru nsa. but what would really be interesting is to see what Sec Soc view this website and perhaps post on it. Most of the stuff here seems us or eu based.

Recruiting grounds(although sparce), places to get people to look up info for free on occult subjects, places to slander opponents or weaken position thru giving exposure.

this is one of the bigger sites (if not biggest) so it has to be a battleground.

i was just thinking about this the other day. what if ats is a tool of the nwo to root out and track the freethinkers who are the #1 enimeis of the nwo. it would explain why we have google ads for freemasonry and banner ads for the new american century. i could just be over paranoid and think way too much, which aint a bad thing though.

The reason is to see what is going on in the minds of the civilized world, how WE react on various topics ranging from the Iraq occupation by the U.S. lead coalition to genetic engineering, etc...

I know every since I joined ATS my poor Firewall is worn out from all the port scans. Never use to get port scans before ATS.

Ill download some more kiddie porn for their viewing entertainment. Dont want all those port scans to be for nothing. Poor dumb DoD.
I totally understand your frustrations

I did a trace route on www.abovetopsecret.com... the Node Name is listed and maintained by the government.

IP Address
213.206.128
213.206.129
213.206.130

Node Name
Gov-bb21-lan-14
Gov-bb22-lan-15
Gov-bb23-lan-16

Location
Langley, Virginia

MS

Network Used
whois.nic.mil (for military network information)

It was difficult to get the IP Address, It was spoofed and looped over 9 times. Anyway Langley, Virginia is where the CIA headquarters is. Im more than concerned.

Why would anyone dismiss this as paranoid?

You have a very large site here with many outspoken individuals. Many with a noteworthy intellect. Much of what is being said is pertaining to government projects, weaponry, anti-government sentiment, and the like.

In the days of old kings would send faux dissidents to go out and gather like minded people. As they would gather the king would then know who the real dissidents were. Not too difficult or paranoid there.

The fact that the news breaks here before many of the major outlets is in itself a testimony to the caliber of individuals on ATS. And it's not just the news: There are in many cases loads of information that Joe CNN will never hear about. Very important information at that.

I enjoy ATS and am certainly not blaming the creators or mods, but I think it incredibley naive and lacking certain logic to think that the feds wouldn't monitor certain groups of individuals, especially those with certain sentiments. In fact, WHY wouldn't they?

I think it best to wake up before you are awoken...

April fools right? Ha ha.

*EDIT: I thought someone back in the day ran a trace on ATS and darkgovernment and they ended up at the same place. Now we all know Dr. B was such a lying a-hole that he got kicked off ATS and copied it (to the best of his hopeless abilities) verbatim. Even down to the server location. I forgot where though, Texas or Manhatten with SO.

Ya'll need to stop playing these April fools jokes man. First DJDOHBOY and now you kinglizard, they get me every time. I guess I have some ego issues I need to work out with myself.

"ABOVETOPSECRET.COM operated by a government funded group. Not being skeptic or anything."

I have unimpeachable proof that this is not the case.

Whenever I come here the site seems to work perfectly. It is interesting. I don't have to wait around to post or read something. There are no forms to fill out.

Honestly, do you really think the Government could accomplish that?

You can attempt to run the trace yourself, be careful this is a Department of Defense porthole and is watched very closely by the governing bodies. Before I started I hid behind a spoofed ip address in an attempt to hide my identity. When I started to get close I got hit with many intrusion attempts on my computer, my firewall popped up and said it blocked that access. After about 6 attempts it stopped, either they stopped trying or they got in.

So can I use this? I got to the consent to monitoring page but I don't know if what I am doing is technically unauthorized. I'm not planning on hacking or anything like that. I just want to do the trace thing you did and I will consent to monitoring. You think it's legal?
