The movie was a let down. The series of books were phenomenal, however. That actually reminds me of Galaxy Quest, since they include some of the same actors. I thought Galaxy Quest was pretty funny.

the whole premiss of galaxy quest was funny... take off of star trek except the actors were dooped by aliens who thought thier show was real.. hahahah.. thats fairly original.

Did anyone mention the very first Star Trek? I think that this one and 2001: A Space Odyssey are the only really interesting ones. All the rest is complete crap.

Now, that's me, I don't like movies, 99.99% of everything that's published simply suck to me, but I mean those are the only 2 ones that are serious and "realistic"... Independance Day and MIB and what have you are not sci-fi movies, they are burlesque comedies and stupid...

The list goes on... Xanadu? Not much of a movie but the soundtrack by E.L.O. is a masterpiece. And E.L.O had a giant spaceship in their live show, so...

LOL Gene Kelly roller skating
Great movie...

Night Skies a Movie about the "Phoenix lights" with an abduction by aliens.
In the movie they say it allegedly really happened.
Night Skies

This true story, based on transcripts from actual hypnosis-therapy sessions, finally reveals what happened after the infamous incident ended and how six people, stranded by chance on a forgotten road, encountered more than just lights in the sky

It was about this couple who discover through noises in their head that children are being experimented on at an underground base. They find out audio they were hearing were actually cries of help from stranded aliens...

Contact is one of my favourite films aswell, also I really like Independance Day. I think if they had wanted they could of made it a lot darker than it is, however its still a great film!

What about Men In Black?
