I absolutely agree that it was an error on Obama's part to not stop George and set him straight, set America straight real quick on that little slip-up. And no, we don't need someone who is quicker than that. He has been regarded an intelligent and "gifted" man who is has great political ability. So i'd give him a pass on this slip up.

But if we don't want to let him go on this one, then I can just bring up something stupid McCain did or said. Hmm... bomb bomb iran was pretty bad.. then you can bring up something about barack... no flag pin... and then i could say mccain and his stupid sell stuff on ebay comment OR the lie he told about sarah palin making a profit on the plane she put on ebay. She put that plane on eBay because nobody in Alaska knew anyone who wanted to buy a luxury jet liner!

Would it not be one of the greatest conspiracies if indeed he was elected president and then did start doing things to undermine the United States.

Would our legislative branch be able to stop any things that would be hurtful. Could he fake an attack on the US from say Israel and then use that to cut off relations and thus military support for them throwing them to the wolves.

It could be one of the greatest conspiracies, and the fact that he sat through all those years of rev. wrights sermons could show his affinity for radical beliefs.

Conspiracy theorists you could run with this one and it would even make sense.

Isn't the Catholic Church that is known as "Pedophiles Anonymous", throughout the western world?

Wasn't it the American Catholic Church that nearly was bankrupted by having to pay large amounts of cash, to children they molested?

Didn't the Pope apologize, on behalf on the American Catholic Church, and the Irish Catholic Church, for these to organizations knowingly covering the tracks of pedophile priests, by sending them to other parishes, and even to other countries?

Didn't an American Bishop lose his chance of becoming Pope due to the repeated sexual scandals in the American Church?

Can you, honestly, think of any convicted pedophile who isen't a christian??

Looks like the only thing a pedophile is covered by is the cross!!!

...of course this those not mean that all christians are pedophiles, it just means all pedophiles are christians...

I don't know whether or not the argument over Obama being muslim has any legs or not. He has way more other negative issues other than an alleged religion.

But there is an interesting question

WHO would slip on an identification of their faith?

That's like slipping on an identification over their own sex

If one were a christian, it shouldn't take half a brain cell to identify oneself with their own religion.

But what is even MORE interesting is that McCain essentially did the same thing, albeit not in the same interview.

McCain said he was a Baptist last September in South Carolina, where he was campaigning in the heart of Baptist territory in a primary that he lost disastrously in 2000. He has attended a Baptist church for at least 17 years when in Phoenix. But the GOP presidential nominee was born Episcopalian, and had claimed to be Episcopalian just a few weeks before his South Carolina statement.

I believe it will not take any votes away. Some media networks keep talking about the percentage of people who think Obama is muslim... as if thats a bad thing. The amount of people who actually care about his faith I think is very small. My work takes me all over the bible belt and very few people care about his faith or race. From what I've seen Obama supporters fear more of the same, opponents fear a change in the wrong direction.

To the person who is afraid of obama becoming president then "undermining" america....you dont become president and then undermine...as president you can just change the way a country is going. As for undermining america, Bush has done plenty to undermine the american way of life, as he has destroyed much of our freedoms, just as reagan destroyed much of our fair news, just as Bush I and Clinton destroyed our protections from banking malpractice and corporate control. In what way do you think obama might be "undermining" us? By changing our foreign policy? any change there would be a good thing, and in fact he's running on the "Change" ticket. j

Oh come on. Only for democrats is lieing an impeachable offense apparently. Clinton lied about a blow job and we never heard the end of it. Bush lied to get us into a war and its never brought up, even after the deaths of 1.2 million iraqis. Mccain was a member of the Keating 5 for christsakes. So lets not pretend that we elect honest representatives.

hey, i dont know about "convicted" but my ex was from saudi arabia, and she said that there all the mothers are deathly afraid of leaving their little boys unsupervised because little boys are constantly being picked up and raped by men over there. I work on psyche wards, and i have seen little children, boys usually, raped by their uncles in arabic countries, so no, not all pedofiles are christian by any means.

Did you bother to click on the links? Did you detect ANY sarcasm in my original post?

I'll try to explain. You see, there is a teaching in the texts of the holy books of Islam that specifically says it is OK to lie to a non-Muslim or "the enemy" in order to lull them into a sense of comfort so you can vanquish them later.

Thats.....pretty much the gist of it!

As someone said above, you don't "forget" what religion you are! Also, if you know anything about the signs of people who are telling a lie, Obama is clearly aware of what he was saying the first time and only displayed the fidgety eye-blinking when he later claimed to have "Christian belief".

If I am the one misunderstanding and you did detect the sarcasm, then I guess what I'm trying to say is that after 9-11-2001, I suppose Obama would be thinking that the electability in the U.S. of a MUSLIM would be a long-shot. A person with Obama's hunger for power would have reason enough to lie about being a practicing Muslim?

cree wolf, when asked my religion i often answer differently based on where i am at the time. Sometimes i answer buddhism, sometimes shamanism, and others taoism. So perhaps he considers himself several things as well. In the end you can believe all or none, and all religions dont necessarily have to contradict each other. There are some ideas in christianity i embrace as well....though i do actually believe that jesus, if he truly lived, was a buddhist.

Different time periods have different values. My grandma was married when she was 14, my grandpa was 18, was he a pedophile?
It was the custom. If a girl wasn't married, in those days, by the time she reached 18, her family would probably put her in a monastery. She would be too old, unless, that is, the family was very rich, or had a high ranking title associated to their name...

Besides many people where married because of land deals, title rights, and all sorts of pacts and alliances between families, be they military, economical, or for prestige sake. Many rich merchants and traders married into the impoverished nobility just for the Title.

I refuse to believe anybody would actually consummate a matrimony, have sex, with a 3 year old...

As for the SF DJ, again, has he been convicted? What is his religion? Who is he, and what does the fact that he is left wing have to do with his religion?

There are many left wing European politicians that are religious, some of them are even communists (very usual in Italy, Spain and Portugal).
