On that link is an artist rendering of approximately where our solar system is located within the Milky Way galaxy.
We're in what they call the Orion Arm. When you look up into the night sky and see the dense line of stars overhead, that's the "arm" they are
talking about.
Now, according to the Maya, they noticed the rising sun at the winter solstice getting ever closer to the arm in the sky. The alignment they speak of
is really only seeing the rising sun on Dec 21, 2012 appearing to "line up" to the exact middle of Galactic Center.
Here is a graph explaining the alignment.

This doesn't mean that we're going to be sucked into a black hole. This just means from our perspective on Earth that our sun seems to line up.
I guess you could crudely compare it to something like a solar or lunar eclipse. While another object seems to go in front of it, it really isn't
and it is a kind of optical illusion.

That link talks about approximate distances of stuff from Galactic Center.
Don't assume that a black hole is a one way ticket. Some scientists think black holes emit as well as attract.

That is an artist rendering.
Hope that helps.
