Name calling and cursing?
Cheap shot.
I'm glad you are cracking yourself up with your own lame cultist insult, but if you don't have anything constructive or even remotely funny to add
then go take a walk or something.
The only thing this has confirmed for me is that people look for any excuse to point their fingers at the opposite team. It's a cheap tactic but I
expect no less from those that giggle like children at lowbrow gutter politics and outright manipulative lies.
People who adamantly and passionately support Obama aren't any more of a cultist than those that adamantly and passionately support McCain so please
stop rushing in to dump the partisan political nonsense on everyone.

The Democratic Party responded:
In response to the accusations, DNC spokeswoman Karren Finney released the following statement:
"American flags were proudly waved by the 75,000 people who joined Barack Obama at the Democratic Convention. John McCain should applaud that, but
instead his supporters wrongfully took leftover bundles of our flags from the stadium to play a cheap political stunt calling into question our
patriotism. On the same day he agrees to join Barack Obama at Ground Zero on September 11, John McCain attacks the patriotism of Obama supporters who
so proudly waved the American flag at our historic event in Denver just days ago."

The flags shown in the photos do not appear to be 'used' by any stretch of the imagination.
Stadiums are not storage facilities. To blame McCain supporters for "wrongfully" taking their 'leftover bundles" sounds like a CYA statement ...
especially when they go on to add that it was for a cheap political ploy. This was not a premeditated thing.
McCain never attacked the patriotism of anyone. If the Obama camp is going to accuse him of that, they need to produce a quote that reflects his
'attack'.
IMHO, one or some of the Obama event planners didn't feel like dealing with the leftover flags and just left them there for the stadium staff to
throw away or dispose of however they saw fit, never imagining for one minute that something like this might occur.
Rather than the Obama camp admitting to the 'error' or 'oversight' in leaving the flags behind, they know they made a boo-boo and are using this
opportunity to make accusations of accusations!!

I think this was staged. It doesn't make a lot of sense. It's just the work of dirty politics, maybe there is traitor responsible.
I'm not buying into it. Both parties suck balls anyways in my opinion so I dont really give a # whether it's true or not. I wouldn't vote for
either of them anyway!

What would be throwing away this country is electing a man whose beliefs and ideals are Marxist and wants nothing more than to turn this country into
a socialist republic.
You agree with U.S. Constitutional rights for prisoners of war? Repealing of the 2nd amendment? Gambling with our energy policy on renewable resources
that are largely unstudied? Squelching of first amendment freedoms?
Oh that's right, you called us yanks. You're not from the U.S. are you? Maybe you should live in a country before you go telling it's citizens how
to vote so you know what the hell you're talking about.

Sorry to quote the entire thing but it was perfect. I was going to say the same thing and was trying to think of how to put it.
My beloved country has become retarded. The crooks have all but ruined it and these retards are fired up because some flags were thrown away. How did
we get here America? How? Its like I am in some grade-b horror movie where all the good hearted Americans have been replaced by cold hearted stupid
unthinking war mongering cheering the fleecing of our nation.
Can someone stop this trainwreck? Please God save this nation from being sold out to the zombies. They cheer about giving our jobs away under the
guise of free trade to spawn the economy when the rest of the world is not buying anything American made and not realizing we need to protect our
trade deficit. They think unions of the people to get a fair shake from the corporate is bad news.
We are really sucking.

When i was a kid, in the 80's, a frined of mine was kinda patriotic...we were about 15 at the time, this was in 1990. We found an american flag one
day, in some woods we used to play in. HE said how disrepsectful it was, an this is how yuor supposed to treat the falg... he took an edge of flag,
and fodled it slanted across, so it resembled a diamond, then flip flopped folding it, in a half triangle, then buried it.
Seemed to be very patriotic, as oppsed to going to a landfill in a trash bag.

FOX NEWS
FOX NEWS
Did any of you read that the source is FOX news?
Oh right, you all think FOX news is a NEWS network that shows NEWS. It is an entertainment channel that routinely makes things up and is not called on
it because they already settled that case in court.

Not sure how much of a contribution this is:
en.wikipedia.org...
But I believe not all flags that look like American flags are actually American flags. I am pretty sure there are specific dimensions and
colors the flag has to adhere to for it to be federally recognized as a 'real' American flag. Thus, some could be thrown in the garbage, without
legal or political repercussions. I could be wrong...
For instance, they sell American style flags at the Dollar Tree (99 cent store), which are made of a kind of quality I wouldn't trust wiping my arse
with. I seriously doubt I would be in legal trouble throwing one of those away.

It's the equivalent of the whole issue of how offensive it is to use the "N-word."
People can argue that well... it's just a word, get over it. But it's more than a word. It's a symbol of institutional and accepted hatred.
Well, to many people the American Flag is a symbol of love, pride, and sacrifice. Many families have mothers and fathers that never returned home,
and the flag symbolizes the values and beliefs for which their loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice.
So to disrespect the flag, and then blow it off as no big deal, is only adding insult to injury.
Can't we talk about real issues?
Do you like my sig btw?

WELL I watched this break on FOX...
I have got to tell you if you hit the net and seek out message boards
that are running this story.
What I've read is that people see it as a political stunt.
In fact people are a bit angry at Mccain for politicizing this.
John Mccain is "now" about change... Well aside from the rabid righties, this story
is not translating well. I really am also disappointed in Mccain, I did not think he
would bow down to using the AMERICAN FLAG as a political weapon.
I really hope he disengages ROVE and soon...
THESE man should run on their merits and vision, not on things that do not relate to these messages.
SO I think the GOP should completely abandon the 2004 tactics because it is planed by BUSH's boy it smells like BUSH. Like it or not his is an ANTI
Bush election.
SAME can be said for the lefts tactics.
But unfortunately the burden of legacy is in Mccains corner. If he keeps politicizing things like this he will bleed votes.
Party pin back on,,,,,,, now!

Has no one heard the saying "Silence is deafening"? It's actually a pretty popular saying. Like "Gonna open up a can of kick ass" you aren't
actually going to open up a can, as one doesn't exist, but it is a saying.
Or did I put the emphasis on the wrong syllabel?(Line from a movie where he does put the emphasis on the wrong syllabel but no idea how to show it in
words...)

The DEMS got caught with their pants down.
The field was a stink'n mess.
The flags were disrespected.
So much for 'recycle' and 'change'.
Personal note - a few years back we went to the Veterans Day ceremonies at Arlington Cemetary. We were given little flags to wave. I still have
mine, along with the program leaflet and some pictures we took, tucked away in a waterproof bag. It's the kind of thing that you pass down to your
children.
