Pavil,
While I understand and agree with your sentiments on "when will this viciousness stop," it would be very difficult in a population conditioned in
the manner which has been done over the last 20 years.
What you have going on here is a "Victim Entitlement " mindset carefully cultivated over 20 plus years and by which the end justifies the means.
Most of this entitlement is emotionally justified. It is not justified by clear rational thinking. Emotions seem to be the primary bailiwick of one
particular party in their appeal to certain kinds of voters.
This may explain why so much of the body politic and the media who shill for them have become a tabloid type atmosphere and at the same time as a
result of this atmosphere...the whole business of politics has been reduced to the lowest common denominator in conduct. There are many of us out here
who observe this in disgust by both parties when carried out to its logical "human" conclusion.
The technique seems to be to emotionally default through like this computer ...automatically by emotional appeal. In other words..many people have
been turned into a default setting like this computer ...it automatically is programmed to play through unquestioned and unthinking.
They are a machine .. programmed and controlled by stroking their emotions. You can watch this over and over in the media and the body politics as
they emotionally attempt to stroke your sense of entitlement and outrage. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson come to mind though they most certainly don't
have this stage to themselves. Many others will use this same technique. Thus to play through mostly unquestioned by the bulk of the media. This
technique did not go unnoticed by the body politic as a control method.
The problem in this case is that this party who dominates the landscape in this kind of thinking, "emotional victimization," got caught in their own
techniques and they don't like it. Hence the desperation in playing catch up.
It is very interesting to watch happening though it too gets olde after awhile.
Buckle up folks. It is not difficult to see that the dirt squads are on the move...bringing this political race further into the gutters.
My main question is ...when will you folks get tired of it and recognize it for what it is...and isn't??
Thanks,
Orangetom
