If one, hypothetically, was trying to find out another member's birthday so they can make them feel welcomed and appreciated, how would they go about doing that?

Well first you would click on their name in their mini-profile and look down the left hand side. For example on your profile it lists that yours is the 4th of September.

Next step you would look on the calendar and... and... realise... today IS the 4th. WOW!

You could always look at my profile and see that it's my birthday, today.

Not much cause for clelebration for me though.
Now I will have a party for anything, and I mean anything, but celebrating my birthday has never been a big thing to me, and at 43 I certainly don't usually go around broadcasting it.

Like I said, it's not something I have ever made a fuss of.
This time last year I was in Crete with a bunch of friends and they organised a suprise party of sorts, that must have been the first time I'd really celebrated my birthday since reaching my teens.
Its just always been just another day really to me.

As for getting old, nah, sometimes early in the day I feel weary but I assure you, I can still party with the best of 'em, and do frequently, just not for my birthday.

As for being insecure, I never reveal enough of me on the net for me to be insecure.
