It's called "Divide and Conquer", you simply take a large group of people with differing views and opinions and polarize them into two sets of
people. In America you are either for something or against something, if you are for topic A then you must, by default, be for Topics B,C and D.
It is imperative that you make it clear that Group B not only opposes the desires of Group A but that they seek the exact opposite of those desires.
Everything must be split down the middle, are you Red or Blue?
If you are Red then you are obviously from the heartland, probably like Nascar and drive a pick up, you go to church and you love Jesus. If you are
Blue then you probably live in a city like New York, drive a Prius and drink lattes. There is no purple, however, you can only choose Red or Blue.
This situation is what I call a "Virtual Democracy" where in we have no real choice but have been so polarized into opposites that we vehemently
feel the desire to beat our perceived opposition. This in turn has made it much easier for the powers that be to control us, there are only two
groups to control and one will always do the opposite of the other.
There is a third group I believe, an Objectivist group, those who stand outside the crowd and observe, noting with certainty that both Group A and
Group B are both stupid and quite insane.
