Jerry Reed - "The Snowman"

It's a sad day. Jerry Reed passed away today from emphysema. He was 71. I know you youngsters probably don't care, but those of us in middle-age enjoyed the hell out of Jerry and we're sure going to miss the Alabama Wild Man.

Rest in peace, Jerry. You've earned it. You chased away my blues more times than I can remember.

Thank You for your humor and talent and gentle spirit.

Thats a darn shame. He was always so happy and full of life.

There may be a chance that he is still alive and resurface again years from now, just as some folks who are announced dead seem to be doing lately.

In any case, RIP for now.
