OUTSOURCE our jobs...

keep the tax havens open while you still have to pay your share...

drill for oil but forget about technology.

let this national debt be passed on to our kids.$33,000.00. per man woman and child

keep this war going so my kids can have an opportunity to get their legs
blown off - in ten- twenty years

continue paying $10,000,000,000.00 a month for IRAQI FREEDOM

Go to war with Iran so we can pay another $10,000,000,000.00 a month

VOTE against given $430,000,000.00 to VA and then preach about loving the troops.

I'm sleepy...

I can go on and on myself...

HOPE you get what you bargained for.

Both sides are brainwashing. I'm just saying that this party has less time to work with so they may be throwing more of it around which would make it easier to spot.

I absolutely love McCains choice of Sarah Palin. He could not have done better. And by waiting until after Obama announced his own choice I think that McCain has already taken the White House. She is in touch with the people, she is an outsider and not part of the Ivy League control group that has been running Washington for years. We need her and people like her in government. I will be voting in Nov. and she has my vote. Tom.

Brilliant is an understatement, McCains pick of Palin may be one of the savviest moves in our nations political history.

First of all, Palin's gender is one of the minor reasons she makes such a good Veep choice. Will some women vote for her just because of her gender, sure, but not that many. Many famale Hillary supporters will be more inclined to vote the McCain/Biden ticket because Biden is a woman, and they are unhappy with the way Obama has treated Hillary, but they will also be turned off by her very strong pro-life stance combined with this creationism nonsense.

What makes Palin such a great choice is that her strong pro-life Christian positions secures the conservative base, which is where McCain is the weakest. This pretty much destroys Obama's hope of peeling off some red states because of McCain's weak appeal among the conservative base combined with national dissatisfaction with GW. Throw in Palin's strong gun rights stance, and this goes a long way towards locking in the conservative base and getting them to the polls.

Combined with Palin's strength among conservatives, is her maverick reform success in going after government corruption. This makes her a match for McCain, this creates a team that will have enourmous appeal among moderates. This is the icing on the cake. Palin is an outsider who has taken on and defeated her own party to eliminate corruption and save tax dollars. This is what we need at this time more than anything.

Sure she lacks experience, but her credentials match up to Obama's credentials considering that he has no executive experience.

A final point is that she is married to a blue collar guy, who races snow mobiles. This, no doubt, is going to go over hugely with Nascar Dads, and that is where the real battle ground in this election is to be fought. Her strong gun rights stance with her blue collar roots are going to go a very, very long way to bring in the white male blue collar vote, which is very turned off by the democratic party these days.

It is easy to understand why Obamaphiles have gone after her with a vengence, they are scared, and they should be. If McCain/Palin jump out ahead of Obama in the polls by weeks end, this race could be over.

Also, the announcement timing was excellent as well. The convention speech was Obama's biggest moment, as it was scripted to be, and they stole it away with the very bold Palin announcement. If Palin can charm the hearts of the people of the whole country the way she has succeeded in Alaska, a good speech at the convention could seal the deal.

Next up is the debates, and Obama hasn't done very well in this portion of the contest. The heat is on.

It's just such utter BS.... what person under 20 G a year, the truely poor needs to give a flying crap about the defecit?

Your share of taxes is what...with Obama, without Obama...

How the hell is Obama or Bush affecting the financial future of a person who pays like... 1,200 a year in taxes?

whta's your spike... half that's social security anyway lol... what's the typical disenfranchised persons share of the national debt

I'll pay... Hundreds of thousands over the next ten years..more maybe if I am lucky

what is the Obama supporter, the poor American who needs help from bush going to save 100.00 bucks?

Guys like me... will shoulder this debt, Obama or no Obama hitting me even harder

and am I an Obama supporter NO, because I don't need saving, my life isn't blameing others for my problems, I don;t feel like the world is out to get me, I am a republican I don't HATE Money I like it, its a game oif Monopoly, I am not scared when I loose and I'm poor, I start a new game... I have gone from dirt poor to loaded many times and will again... because it's a fun game to play

I'm not a victim, I'm not oppressed and I f I am I win anyway

I used to care about the debt, when i was in Colleg too...lol and had no oney

Why?

because I was still an Idiot too

But I grew out of it...

LOL like I was paying the debt with 12,000 a year

I could buy a new skate board with my tax losses

What utter bs a poor person worrying about what the republicans do

What if America goes bankrupt so f'n what lol, you have money in the bank to loose?

What the hell will Obama do for you... to CHANGE anything when your Resume reads

Mc Donalds 200-2002
Wendys 2002-2005
Ace Hardware 2006-2008

I mean give me a break, the Economy IS the Rich... the few hundred per person over 60 Million poor to lower middle class matters each year, but a couple hundred bucks or even a G a year will not change your status nor make a huge difference in the Federal Budget

We are past peak oil... thats why food is expensive thats why your mad...

and war or no war we have started the slide and No one, no magic bullet will make there be more OIL...

You either profesionalize YOUR life and learn how to make a real living or your screwed and no candidate can change this and it's not the debt affecting the average persons wallet... it's prices

What is Obamas Plan...Green Energy DUH, that's all there will be in 20 years and it will be expensive the whole way, no president affects this... it's a bs line, companies that make Green Energy will determine how fast we make it and how bad it is through the transition

What will Obama do, give out some Green Energy Grants? hoorah... so people who had no plans or knowledge will enter the game and make the market worse, great plan...

Because the typical joe's problems will be fixed when Obama gives Grants to build Wind Turbines... theres a huge percentage of the Poor... headed right out ot get the Obama tax incentive or whatever crap he dreams up... to start Green Energy Companies...

"Hey hun I quit my job at Sears Today I'm building a Hydro Electric Dam with Obamas energy funds"

This is our future lol right, this will help the poor...

"Hi Honey walmart sucked today, I was paid 356.00 up 6.50 from last week thanks to Obamas Capital gains Tax, I can buy real cigarettes not self rolled today, isn't life swell"

Yeah just like what the OP states. Palin will attract the american female vote because they all have daughters, 17 years of age who are pregnant to someone who doesn't want the baby just the root. Good call. I guess you are part of that majority

Wow is that how your brain works. You think just because an african american could be president, he is going to turn white people into slaves.

That just shows how stupid, ignorant, hypocritical and racist some people are on this forum.

Does anyone really think McCain made this decision on his own in a dark room with no one else giving him advise...? You think McCain does not have any female advisers, do you think he would not take all of these things into consideration...?

The man is a deep thinker, from all the years alone in a cell with just your thoughts...he is not dumb and I do not believe this decision was made on a whim...remember we still have time for woman if scourned to forget about why he picked a female (if this is what you think). Woman will come around once they see her in speeches and in the spot light over time...

I believe he played the media and Dems very well on this VP pick...

We will see, I believe anything can happen.
One wrong smelling fart and two golden body bags are being carted off.
I have been keeping my eye on the numbers and Mccain has taken a serious dive
in six states, 20% up to 35% in three days... May be a glitch obviously... I have learned not to count my ducks when I am not at the pond.

Do not underestimate this point!

In western PA, the largest voting block is blue-collar white men. Who do you think they relate to more, Sarah Palin's husband or Joe Biden?

Obama totally screwed up thinking that Biden was going to be some sort of surrogate for Hillary Clinton to get the blue collar vote. The rank and file guys look at Biden just like they do their fat cat union leaders who sold them out. Todd Palin on the other hand IS one of them.

Obama is in BIG trouble in PA.

There are about 100 thousand more people living in Obama's old Illinois state legislature district than the entire population of Alaska (approx 627K).
The population of the state of Illinois is 12 1/2 million compared to 627 thousand of Alaska.

Barack Obama is tough and smart.

How many desicions did Obama make that affected those people living in Obama's old Illinois state legislature district?

The population is of no relevance, unless your implying they voted him into office. They did, but his only competition was forced to resign, he ran unopposed.

Barack Obama is tough and smart.

Why do you think this?

brilliance?? the only brilliant thing about this election is how no matter who wins, we're all screwed. seeing as how Mccain is older than the fossil fuels he wants to drill, Palin could theoretically become president of the U.S. with only 2 years of experience as governer of Alaska. Dumb pick when there were so many other people more qualified for the job. But it's not about being qualified.. it's a popularity contest.. pure and simple. Him picking her wont win the election... DIEBOLD will. you republicans dont have anything to worry about... sit back and enjoy the show.

Whether you vote for McCain or Obama, please pay attention to what's really important. Palin's pick is relevant - not because she is a woman and a mother or that her family is facing serious issues but because she is simply unqualified for the important position for which she has been tapped.

Oh get off it. She is just as qualified, if not more qualified, than Obama. And McCain is more qualified than both.

And yes, it is important that she is a woman, and one that resonates with the American public in ways that Hillary Clinton never could. Because Hillary is a militant female-chauvinistic feminist while Palin is a motherly classical feminist. While some women would like to see any female in office, most actually identify with Palin. And she is smart enough to do the job... at least as much as Obama. Everyone can see through this argument, which exposes the sheer hypocrisy of such a position because of the obvious -- Obama is just as/more inexperienced. But oops, he is the Presidental candidate, not VP.

Bark bark bark bark bark bark. The liberals scramble because they have been trumped. Deal with it... the McCain campaign blew the Obama campaign away and total stole his thunder. Boo hoo. This pick was truly brilliant.

I am so astounded by this decision that I have a hard time imagining another so significant in my lifetime. I am too young to have known how it was with JFK, but I imagine that it was a similar atmosphere.

This is the real reason behind all the democrat attacks.

Obama supporters planned and expected the American people to bask in the emotional afterglow of the convention speech. It was supposed to be the talk of the country. Instead Palin pretty much shoved it aside.

Obama supporters were expecting a white guy as the VP pick. They were expecting to go after that white guy with all their "change" talking points. I bet they had their surrogates in the media ready to attack McCain doing the same old politics with another same old VP pick. The Palin pick took the Obama supporters by surprise and inserted a candidate with actual reform experience instead of flowery talk.

Palin energized the republican base. This is the largest threat of all. Now Obama and the media have to actually campaign. When the media gets caught campaigning for a democrat (remember Dan Rather) bad things can happen.

What in the hell is:
Compulsory Service?

And he isn't African American He just wants the Black Vote Mommy raised him, Daddy wasn't around, Mommy was White

So aside from being Mocha and haveing some pathos where, he identifies with his vanished dads race, what makes Obama Black anyway?

What I actually see is a very confused person with an identity crisis that Leans in one direction in some kind of rationalization for a missing father that I can not fully understand but it is very obvioulsy there

Slavery, All Blacks and Liberals can do is Yell "Raceist" and we have let it work so long we are mentally exhausted and people are afraid to speak

I'm NOT

The man wants to

A: Tax those with money and give it to the poor and to other poor countries, with no exwemption even if you came from dirt as I did and struggled for it and made the American dream with no help, those who have Success have to take their money and give it away not to wlefare, but to Africa? When we have a huge debt he is raising aid to third world nations while expecting me (and other overwhelmingly white people by numbers) to pay off the debt too

That is REPERATIONS without the name being stated... and I don't come from a southern slave family, my family came here in 1911, fleeing Jewish persecution (which I deal with Jew Racism everyday) and don't blame political parties ask for a free ride or become a socialist to cope with

B: What IS Compulsory Service... 1 year, 2 year Free Labor? Or low pay What is free Labor? Is this Isreal is our back against the wall? Does every man woman and child need to Slave for free to survive

and tell me once they can Legally make my kids work for free, where does that end? Once that is and you are in the system what are you exposed to?

I want my kids at 18, to be sent to a camp, mixed in with everybody into some rainbow coalition indoctrination camp of Governement beliefs? For 2 years?

Instead of start a busisness or go to College my kids should be thrown into CAMPS with Who? How will a white kid from the suburbs be treated droped in a LABOR CAMP with kids from the inner city

In a NON Miltary atmosphere? Where racism will be rampant against Caucasians as it IS now and has been for 40 years plus...

If you want the "all work together experience where people are equal, you can join the Military or go to College"

In those places, your "Integrated" with either the Educated or those who volunteered to serve their country for Pay

Compulsory service, is taking Kids AWAY from being among the Best of ALL of us and mixing them with the worst of us from the worst circumstance who did NOT, Earn the grades or volunteer the service and don't want to be there.

Is Slavery a bad word for this?

What part of Compulsory Service doesn't mean Slavery?

As Per the Dictionary (something some Americans don't like to use lately)

Compulsory: required; mandatory; obligatory, Employing or exerting compulsion; coercive.

Service: an act of helpful activity; help; aid: duty or work of public servants, providing or a provider of accommodation and activities required by the public

Slavery: The state of one bound in servitude

Bound: Synonym Compulsory

Servitude: Synonym Service

Please, by all means with the intellectual might of Obama supporters feel free to Challenge how Compulsory Service is not Synonymous with Slavery

I agree. I haven't seen this much vitriol since Reagan was POTUS, so I'm taking that to mean Sarah Palin must be somebody special.
