ST. PAUL--Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman and producers Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar have all been released from police custody in St. Paul following their illegal arrest by Minneapolis Police on Monday afternoon.
All three were violently manhandled by law enforcement officers. Abdel Kouddous was slammed against a wall and the ground, leaving his arms scraped and bloodied. He sustained other injuries to his chest and back. Salazar’s violent arrest by baton-wielding officers, during which she was slammed to the ground while yelling, “I’m Press! Press!,” resulted in her nose bleeding, as well as causing facial pain. Goodman’s arm was violently yanked by police as she was arrested.
This needs to illicit more outrage. I am stunned that thread is just laying here, almost entirely ignored.

Well.....I see my prediction came true.
Protesters in Denver were given a mostly free ride, since most of what they were doing were trying to shout and get their message on the media, as they were allowed close enough so the microphones of some media outlets who were outdoors (such as MSNBC) to pick up their shouts and bullhorns. No distance requirements, nothing. Reporters and commentators had to just grin and bear it.
I believe we are seeing an entirely different response here.....and Minnesotans are supposed to be so nice!!
Where to you suppose they found these StormTroopers, anyway?
