Oil=Business=Money=War

This seemed to be the most fitting place for this.

The U.S. has been interested in Afghanistan for many many many years. I will start in the mid
90�s. Here�s a quote from good �ol Dick Cheney... �In 1998, Dick Cheney, now US
vice-president but then chief executive of a major oil services company, remarked: "I cannot think
of a time when we have had a region emerge as suddenly to become as strategically significant as
the Caspian." A company called Unocal started negotiating in 1995 to build oil and gas pipelines
from Turkmenistan, through Afghanistan and into Pakistani ports on the Arabian sea. Caspian oil
could go through Russia or Iran...see any problem with that for the U.S.?? No control over the
the oil. But, alas, Unocal gave up in 1998 when the U.S. dropped some cruise missals in terrorist
camps in Afghanistan. Did that stop U.S. interest in the area?? Oh no...... �In September, a few
days before the attack on New York, the US energy information administration reported that
"Afghanistan's significance from an energy standpoint stems from its geographical position as a
potential transit route for oil and natural gas exports from central Asia to the Arabian sea. This
potential includes the possible construction of oil and natural gas export pipelines through
Afghanistan".

Then..somebody let 911 happen. Within hours if not minutes, the administration knew
who did it and where they were. Too bad the administration didn�t have such a knowledgeable
intelligence agency in place BEFORE 911. So the U.S. goes in and slaps the heck out of the
Taliban and the rest of Afghanistan. Now the leaders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan
have agreed to construct a $2bn pipeline to bring gas from Central Asia ( read Caspian) through
Afghanistan to to the Arabian Sea. All that oil and gas and it just happens to go through a country
that just happened to harbor the �terrorist� that pulled off the most brilliant military strike ever
against the most highly sophisticated and technologically advanced military in the world and that
military was caught off guard, flatfooted and so dumbfound that it couldn�t even respond until
afterwards??!! yeah right.

It has been a rocky road for this pipeline and it is not a done deal. The U.S. will never be
total gone from the Afghanistan area. Why? Because of this pipeline.

Now we head over to the Balkans. Some of you probably remember the �air-war� over
there to help stop the �ethnic cleansing.� The Albanian majority were basically being killed off by
the Serbian minority in that area. The Serbs were funded, helped by Yugoslavia. So the U.S. and
some friends went in and slapped the poop out of them and now we are in the area for good.
Why? Oil. This area just so happens to be on the western side of the Caspian Sea were as
Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Afganistan are on the eastern side of the Caspian Sea...hmmm how
convenient to have to different conflicts that just so happen to border an strategically important
area for oil/gas reserves! The U.S. is there to stay in the Balkans. Mr. �define the word �is��
pledged 30 million to help Albania, Macedonian, Bulgaria to help build �Corridor 8�, an
transportation corridor from the Adriatic Sea to guess where?? The Caspian Sea. We have sent
military advisors to form Russian republic of Georgia. �BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 3, 2003 �
Conveying President Bush's gratitude for Azerbaijan's help in the global war on terror, Defense
Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld arrived here today for meetings with the president and defense
minister of this former Soviet republic on the western shore of the Caspian Sea.� This country
was one of the first nations to offer any help it could provide to the United States after the Sept.
11, 2001. The country also grants important overflight rights for U.S. military aircraft.

Once again, this �corridor 8� is still not a sure thing. Allot of finical difficulties and
setbacks. But with U.S. involvement in the area, I�m sure both the west and east corridors from
the Caspian Sea area will be finished. The U.S. is great when it comes to fixing stuff..ie throw
enough money and military power into the area and things will go our way.
That said,...�well the U.S helped in Somalia.� We tried but then got a bloody nose and
ran-away. Why? No oil or gas in the area. Just like Haiti, it is a propaganda ploy to make it look
like the U.S. cares about none oil countries. There are plenty of countries experiencing what
happened in the Balkans but is the U.S. throwing money and military at them?? NO. Why? No oil
or gas in the country.
Since 911, my views about the motives of the U.S. govt have changed. There is just WAY
TOO MUCH evidence that shows how the U.S. manipulates and forms occurrences in order to
justify the throwing of money and military into oil rich areas not formerly friendly to the U.S. It is
like the U.S. govt knows something about oil reserve that it is not tell us.

It shows that the Bush's and the Saudi Royal family have a bit of history and are much closer than we think.

you know, it's funny how we have had these 'wars' in these areas and both the vp and pres are former oil men......and now we have iraq........another strategic area for oil/gas byways. the balkans would cover the west caspian area, afganistan would cover the east caspian and iraq would cover the south caspian area........and this is all a coincidence.........yeah right...whatever, go get another drink

I think that the oil supply is lower than most public knowledge and the Bush Administration got in there early to establish a foot hold and stabilize the region the maintain the flow of crude.

I think that things are going to get real interesting when gas reaches $6+ per gallon USD.

The peak of oil production worldwide appears to already have occured - in 2000. Though demand continues to rise, the rate of extraction can now only decrease. Due to the simple supply/demand rules, its price now is set to rise much higher. And those in control of the remaining reserves are poised to make billions, maybe trillions.

In fact that is the name of the concern that many oil industry analysts give to the present state of the energy economy. Of course, all westernized economies are based on cheap oil as their driving force. Alternative energy sources are woefully undeveloped to maintain anything near the present rate of energy consumption. Some are not even viable, such as ethanol, because it takes more energy to produce it than it can generate. Over the next several years, it appears that an oil crisis will force a global depression to begin.

Happy 9-11, clearmind, I'm glad there are others who know about this. Often times investigators can't stick the blame to murderers with out a motive and now we've got one. It is INSANE that the media has not presented this evidence and that the 9-11 commission limited itself to the events of that day. The NEW WORLD ORDER is in full swing and now they will have their NEW WORLD TRADE CENTER to go along with it.
