Guess we'll find out how the Dems follow their own rules, seeing as Barry has requested to keep his kids out of the election coverage.

Excellent point! However, because Palin brought it to the attention of the press, I wonder if that will make it 'fair game'.

I have to wonder if Palin was just made aware of this information or if she knew it when McCain asked her to run on his ticket.

And had the Republican Convention not been side-tracked due to Gustav, I wonder if this information would have come out during the Convention or after?

She has not been officially nominated ... McCain may be forced to find another person to run on his ticket!

This is a riot! Seriously, this entire campaign is being ran like a three-ring circus. And the idiots here are eating it up!

Give me a break, someone claims she faked her pregnancy and while we were all saying no way, apparently something was true to it because she confirmed that half of the rumor was correct AFTER the fact that it supposedly happened? I don't know what is at the bottom of this, but it stinks! And you had better believe that all bets are off. I would be ALL OVER this yes sir, do as my puppetmasters ask, barbie doll.

Not even here, where we have pledged to deny ignorance are people seeing the wool being dragged over their eyes! Don't play into this! They are slamming people with hype and trying to get people to vote on their prejudiced views rather than the fact that this country is headed down the shtter at an ever increasing pace!

Apparantly McCain knew of this ahead of time and judged that it was irrelevant and it's only being announced now because of the smears about her being Trig's mother.

So you think that perhaps Trig really is her daughters baby?

I honestly don't know what to make of this news and I'm a bit confused as to why they didn't say that her daughter was going to marry the babies father when they initially announced that she was pregnant.

hehe. Heres the thing...this is why you dont throw rocks in glass houses and you see this constantly in the republican party. You have these people claiming the moral highground and moral authority and everytime scandels like the gay sex, or hitting on men in bathrooms, hitting on young pages, affairs, pre wed pregnancies. This is what I cant stand about the republicans of today. The fact is Sara Palin and her daughters are human. Im glad to hear they like to have sex frankly I think Id bang Palin BUT the hypocrisy of the party is disgusting. They need to just kick the whole moral high ground agenda. It wont happen because they want that evangelical vote.

It is being used to show Obama is misogynistic after how Hillary was treated. Palin wants the media and the Democrats to attack her on this issue so she can turn to Hillary voters and say, "See how they're treating us women?"

That's the only reason on making a private matter public.

Not much. The Dems may try to play it a little bit, but it looks pretty damn hypocritical when they claim to be the party of inclusion and the ones who stand up for the rights of single, teenage mothers and such.

Not to mention the fact that she's hardly the first 17 year old kid who has ever gotten pregnant in this country. In fact, if the Dems do attack on the issue, it may say something to all of those 18-29 year olds supporting Obama who have found themselves in the same situation in the past.

My advice to the Dems? Tread lightly.

Palin did the correct thing by talking to the press and telling the truth. Now lets see what the socialist media does with this and all the political enemies of conservatism.

The left has been smearing the hell out of this girl in the last few days, saying that her brother is actually her son. All the Palin family is guilty of doing is presenting the facts to the public.

Honestly to me, it isn't even a question anymore. I entertained the thought for about a minute before dismissing it. But now it is obvious.

Yes, Trig is her granddaughter. I would wager on it. But that isn't even the point. The point is that this is pointless. I would be even more willing to bet that this entire fiasco is a calculated move. It is designed to keep us scratching our heads and debating the insanity of it all while not looking at the bigger picture here. The bigger picture is that we are about to put the biggest war mongering president we have ever seen into office because we are being literally blindsided by this type of garbage!

This entire thing is completely and utterly OUTRAGEOUS!

If this thing weren't calculated, the entire GOP would be organizing a lynch-mob as we speak to forcibly remove her from the RNC!... Oh wait, we still aren't even having one of those as of yet!
