When using the 3d mapping tools, it appears to be a sphere instead of a flat coin like object, also can see an arrangement of small indentations covering the entire surface. It appears to be white-ish in color and I can make out some symbols that resemble letters that look like the words “Titleist Armstrong”, does anybody know what that means?

Titleist appears to be something big amongst the golfing fraternity!

Heres the ultimate conspiracy. You say its got Titleist Armstrong written on it and its oval in shape! Could it be a golfball. . ?

I could not agree more sigung86. For the love of God the Viking landing took better shots then we are getting now. They are baby spoon feeding us for sure. They don't want to have another Orson scenario on there hands.

thank you for posting the links. I always like to see the raw images.

that is interesting I am going to check it out a bit more.

wondering if perhaps rover might have caused it though.

your welcome
glad to help

i was checking it out a bit more myself and i have found what i believe are similar things in the picture that are making me come to a conclusion that they are somehow natural.

thinking this is a coin is totaly silly imo

but for me ...i'm putting this one to rest because me thinks it's a natural anomaly

And if you add the Marbles we can get some betting going...

Looks like the Rover even made us a target...

Now Hold on there Cowboy... not so fast... There are other closer images to work with

Here is your analysis with clips from a higher res image added to your arrows. The two you point out are obviously rocks and do not look anything like a disc while from the same image the 'coin' still looks like a disk...

Here is the image I used

It looks far to symmetrical in nature to be a rock.
Although I guess out of 999 trillion odd rocks you might get 1 just 1 that has that perfect of a symmetrical axis on it.
Otherwise one would have to think its some kind of machine part.
A lid for something or a metal/plastic disc from something.
Or as stated a coin.Which would probably be last on my list of what it is.

Now WHY on EARTH errr Moon would Shepard's balls say "Armstrong"

Alan Shepard - Out of this World Golfer

Or are you confirming Armstrong went to Mars?

Well I would disagree about the Viking shots... though the Viking did show true color at the time, the Rover ones are MUCH sharper and clearer...
[see below] But the spoon feed thing... you sooo right... Many people expect to be spoon fed so they get the baby food...

When they grow up and actually do the legwork, you would be surprised what NASA does show you...

Now how much closer do you need?

If it's a coin, it's far too worn-out to tell. If only it has just ONE visible marking we could see, then we would have more evidence to stand on, but just as it is, it seems to be a very circular rock.

Exactly! What's going on here between Shepard and Armstrong? Everyone knows that Armstrong is a "Top Flite" man.

On a serious note, the object of discussion is consistant in form, shape and size to that of other markings left by the probe in that location. Why the fuss?

do you mean the quid?

Its is the new space currency called the quid(same name as brits money) I am pretty sure it will be used to trade with Aliens, as our money is not much use in space.

Hi Zorgon... BTW I believe I misspelled your name in my initial post, and for that I apologize. My problem is pretty much self-evident in the difference between the picture with the coin, and the pic that you showed in this post. Had it been a coin, it would have been much clearer, I'm sure, and I doubt there would have been much question as to what it was.

And one more thought, for what it's worth... If we have been mining blue berries or whatever up there, and they are apparently, peculiar to the Martian terrain, then it stands to reason that there is a possibility that the "coins" may also be a peculiarity of a "Burroughsian" Barsoom!

As long as it doesn't say E Pluribus Unum then we are ok. We sure don't need any more questions about fake landings, and we really don't need to know that some Elite welll funded force has landed and set up shop leaving us to burn in some useless destructive war! So I hope that whatever this coin/rock to some reveals is that we are not alone and that some benevolent and loving force is watching over us and has been here for - well - eons watching and protecting in some fashion or another.

Mars is indeed a planet for artists and in an artist heart is creativity, lets hope we are a creation to the force that remains and that we are its finest work.

Because if the Luciferian illuminated stones of fire freaks have their way - there will be nothing for us but a bright light and a quick burn Omega man style - Peace!

That's no coin

It's a space station!

Seriously though it could be anything from a manmade coin, to an ancient Martian colony artifact to a simple rock, hell it could even have fallen off a UFO.

While speculating on what it is, is fun. I think I'll wait until the experts prove what it is

No problem on the name
and your idea (another thread? ) about a team... well that was the purpose of Pegasus... but the problem is when its done for free you can only get participation when people have free time...you need a staff to make a permanent analytical team.

The other problem is that while you can get 'better' images from NASA as the ones above show, you have to know which ones you want and there are hundreds of thousands...

Now for example the 'coin' I got the false color one but have not found the better ones yet of that set... Maybe ArMaP has one, don't know... there are so many directories around its impossible to have them all

So we are stuck with things the way they are and have to count on people like Skipper and Keith Laney to find interesting shots to check

What I find funny is that people say NASA images lie... but then newer NASA images or 'retakes' that now show rock are telling the truth

The image of the 'base' in the other thread... the retake was done by a public request... so the sent the MGS back to take a shot because some researcher asked for it (that was offered before the satellite went dark... and was even free) Then it comes back 'rock' and everyone is positive it is the real picture

Oh well... if you are ever interested in the Mars cargo transport... drop me a note via U2U...

Just curious
