If this particular subject has been discussed, I'm sorry and feel free to remove it.

Gustav... One, the timing is funny. Two, there is another one coming up its rear. Three, people have been being conditioned for days now that this thing is GOING to hit New Orleans. I mean, I've seen projected models that show it hitting anywhere between Florida and Houston. But it is New Orleans and not any other place, that is preparing for landfall.

If this thing actually hits New Orleans I'll be amazed... and shocked!

This is reminding me of when Katrina hit and a few days later I was watching CSPAN when.. eh, I can't think of his name, Republican Senator from Iowa, I believe was saying to the cameras "hey, the reports I'm getting are showing that another strong hurricane could hit the area in the next couple of months!".... < Holy crap, he predicted Rita before it even showed up on the map! Rita made landfall in the same area FIVE WEEKS later! Right in the middle of his prediction.

When I first started researching HAARP I was thinking to myself "no way. They aren't THAT evil!" But I am being forced to look at other things now.

Alex Jones is predicting that they will use Gustav as a pretense for a major false flag operation in the US as justification for going to war with whomever they have on the slate next (most likely Iran). Sounds crazy but he DID predict 9-11.

I'll be AMAZED if they can use the weather to their advantage. Thoughts?

i was thinking in a similar vein, when i came across your post. i was listening to one of the guest pundits on CNN--didn't have a chance to catch his name; who stated that the storm presents an "opportunity" to get things right this time. opportunity?

what possible motives could there be, if weather is being controlled?

i try to see both sides of things, so i am just throwing this out. not sure what i believe.

just some random thoughts....

1.) a chance for the bush regime to get it right this time?
2.) the final deluge to force poor people out of new orleans for good?
3.) the continuance of the economic destruction of this country?
4.) prelude to the great depression of 08?
5.) louisiana is a blue state- usually the wealthy are republicans. political agenda?
6.) decrease oil production capacity to counter declining demand?

i noticed this time that bush is going to crawford tx to monitor the storm. during katrina, he was there, but on vacation.

i am from pensacola and been through storms most of my life. the beach always gets the brunt. before Andrew in south florida, the beaches always remained opened afterwards, but then FEMA got involved. after Opal, it took months for the residents of pensacola beach to be able to return. all the hype about looters. anything that could have been salvaged was ruined under the protection of military law.

P.S. it's not fair to call the people stranded in new orleans looters, when some were dying of dehydration.

I agree. This storm is not an OPPORTUNITY of anything! It is a travesty. I am more interested in the fact that they seem cock-sure where it is going to hit and have been for days now EVEN THOUGH the projection models have shown it landing ANYWHERE on the gulf coast!

If Alex Jones is right on this one also, this is going to serve as a distraction for a separate event that will occur and the combination of the two will be a perfect excuse to go ahead and impliment martial law. We all know that is coming. If it isn't, Bush sure went to great lengths in stripping the constitution down to account for his ability to do it. We'll just have to see, but keep it in mind folks.

They DO have the ability to do this sort of thing.

It obviously means the opportunity to rectify mistakes made when Katrina hit. Theyre not gonna make the same mistakes again.

when the levy broke in new Orleans from hurricane Betsy, the public responded by using private boats to literally fish out survivors.

during Katrina, the public was not allowed to assist. private boats were not allowed in the flooded regions. how many more would have survived if these helpful citizens were allowed in? my gosh, they must all be looters! how dare they compromise "our operation"?

this is the us verses them mentality. if you are not a part of the system. fire, police, national guard, fema, etc.; then stay out of it!

look at what a great job they did.

this is a time to come together and help everyone and let any one who wants to help contribute. instead people are being "herded".

common sense goes out of the window.

when the government does such a good job this time, it will prove that we need big brother to take care of us. it could be political in a sense, for the repubs to say---see we really can respond to disaster. isn't Homeland Security Great! we'll have to see what the aftermath brings.

i find it curious that Andrew occurred when daddy bush was trying to get re-elected. no one was told to evacuate in Homestead. talk about a handout! people who had never had $5,000 in the bank were walking away with 6 figures in cash. around miami, they were actually calling it saint andrew.

when i was in mississippi after Katrina; a lady who worked at CableOne's son was shot and killed in his own front yard for being outside after curfew. i sincerely believe that we can take care of ourselves. what a tragedy--to survive the hurricane, only to be shot in your front yard. what are you protecting when you are forced out of your home--and can not come back? better to let the looters get what you left behind; and, be able to start over vs. living in a fema camp.

also, i noticed that "looters" will be sent directly to prison--according to Nagin.

i remember when bush was campaigning the first time he said," i trust the people" yeah right.

Oh, there is no doubt they use catastrophes like these to their advantage. More agencies, more laws, more criminals = reduced rights. Hell, look at 9-11. Whether you believe that our gov. was behind it or not, I think we all can agree that they used it to justify the largest single power grab this country has ever seen. These people are beyond reproach. I don't even think the Mob is this criminal.

And the above poster was right when they stated that it isn't fair to call someone a looter when they are dying from dehydration and starvation. Especially when the circumstances surrounding their misfortune are completely out of their control. Survival instincts will always trump written law. Especially when those laws are unjust.

Oh, this is definatly suspicious, IMO.

Prophesy: Something to happen during Rnc or Dnc to stop the process.
How convenient! McCain doesnt even have the people to fill up the stadium where the function is going to be held. His choice is less than admirable! Buying time. Now is the time to close up Louisiana and make Casinos and make that prospesper till the next time.

good point dgtempe !

got my imagination running......

the election process has been compromised! a state of national emergency. suspend the election. martial law. billions for the bankers, but nothing left for the catastrophe. mass chaos. rebellion. etc. i don't put anything past them.

spooky thought. let's hope not!

news.yahoo.com...

It appears that the republicans are really ramping up their exploitation of this event. All but cancelling the RNC to appear at the coast before the thing even happens. This is a great way to sidestep the debate over the total lack of experience Palin has and try to present a face to the people that people will believe they are here to help. They are exploiting a catastrophic event before it even takes place!

I think it would be hilarious if the thing turned south away from Louisiana entirely. But, it probably wouldn't help anything, people are still going to look at them like they have their stuff together.

These people make me sick.

The project path has been pretty much the same since it was in Cuba.. It does however appear to be heading a little more NW than the original path. New Orleans has always been plagued with hurricanes, so I don't see any evidence this is somehow controlled with man made technology. It is kind of strange to me that someone might assume the weather is being controlled for political gain.
In my mind, I simply cannot see that correlation.

Oh, I'm not saying that it IS. I'm just saying what if. It will be interesting to see what unfolds in the aftermath.
These bloodsuckers DO make best political use of these catastrophes that they can. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They will lend you a helping hand and slap you in the face with the other.
I also love how this works conveniently for McCain. Now he can sidestep the debate over the folly of his VP pick while at the same time distancing himself from the past folly of GWB (Katrina) even while he agrees with Bush on nearly every single policy issue. (Palin stands in line on these issues also, btw)
