I'm not either, I'm just saying that that is another possibility.
I should've worded that better, It should've been:
"It is possible that..." And continue on with that statement, disregarding the "I think" portion of it.

Which big guy would you be talking about? There are many to choose from.
BTW, if he exists then he knows that I could never honestly give up, even if I am atheist. That ball is in his court. It's up to him to show himself
with evidence that I can actually use- I'm not going to settle with having to brainwash myself to believe.

I like having an unclean brain, so I think I'll stray from the brainwashing.

I get that a lot, people who try to convince me to go back to being Christian throw all these verses at me, when they don't seem to understand that
I've read the bible, cover to cover, several times.

While I haven't read the book cover to cover, or several times, I do just keep getting the same thing over and over.
I feel that christians are unable to put themselves in the shoes of an atheist, even good-honest christians because these scriptures don't do
anything for us.

Well I have one friend that is a rare find among the Christian folk.
He can put himself in the shoes of an atheist, and has often done so, he just stays as a Christian because he does.

Oh man, really. Consider yourself lucky. All the christians I know believe in the myth that there are no atheists in foxholes. It's like they really
just can't comprehend the idea of someone who really doesn't believe in a god and that we are in denial.
As my friend noobfun explained, in de nile is a dangerous place to be - there are crocodiles.

Crocodiles... Bear traps with legs.
There are lots of walking bear traps in de nile.
Yeah, I think it's the air or something here in Oregon, we have a lot of those weird Christians here, the ones that can see both sides.

I am a PanENdeist in belief (and reason)
Here is a symbolic, metaphoric, and hopefully not too new-age'ish way to express my belief:
We goto sleep.
We dream.
We assume the role as the dreamer.
We forget we are the dreamer, we become the dream characters.
We create an entire dream world, an entire dream story, with many dream characters.
We are the dream world itself, we are the dream story itself, we are even all the dream characters, because ultimately we are the dreamer.
We wake up, and we realize it was so.
I believe God is dreaming. And we are God's dream characters. The Universe is God's dream World. Existence is the story.
Upon awakening, God realizes: it was a dream. I was the One.

yes, but i think something that most everyone in general has not accounted for in the search for their "own truth" is our very deeply rooted need to
be saved from danger and death and boogyman.
in order to truly come to terms with an independent worldview, you must face your deepest fears and discover the nature of fear itself. otherwise it
is all talk.
i once had a most vivid and terrifying vision of everyone that i loved (and everyone in the world) being moved across a conveyor into the mouth of a
great monster whom was consuming them without remorse. it struck me at my core, and i could feel my base-instinct to plea for help.
stopping to examine this "plea for help", and learning how it functions in my life, was incredibly liberating.
(i have been ex-christian since 19, or around 11 years now.)

i just looked the definition on that...whew! i am glad you gave such a vivid description. otherwise i would never have understood it. it is a
beautiful way to look at things.
I was the One.
ah, yes. we are all "the One", are we not?
cheers.
