McCains VP Choice Palin Currently Being Investigated For Abuse Of
Office: Faces Impeachment
She has come under the scrutiny of an investigation by the Republican-controlled legislature into the possibility that she ordered the

I just laughed and laughed. He should have stuck with Romney. Hes going to lose anyway but this just shows the kind if scrutiny and the kind of
judgement McCain will show in office. Everyone has a little dirt on them, but pickingsome one on the chopping block is just plain stupid.

Oooh..... this is such a big find..... the Dems have had months to prepare for their attack on Palin in case she was the choice, and this is all they
could come up with:
The Associated Press reports, "More recently, she has come under the scrutiny of an investigation by the Republican-controlled legislature into
the possibility that she ordered the dismissal of Alaska's public safety commissioner because he would not fire her former brother-in-law as a state
trooper."
The commissioner, Walt Monegan, was fired on July 11, because Palin "wanted to take the department in a new direction," according to Bloomberg.
"Monegan than alleged that he had been pressured to fire state trooper Mike Wooten, who was married to Palin's sister and was involved in a
contentious divorce, according to the Anchorage Daily News."
The Bloomberg story continues, "Palin has denied any wrongdoing. The state Legislature voted on July 28 to hire an independent investigator to probe
whether Palin, her family or members of her administration had pressured Monegan to fire Wooten, according to the Daily News."
Sorry, but this is a total non-issue.
And btw, what happened to all the insistence that the only fair game for debate were the issues, and not the candidates' character or personal
life???

This is not a matter of character she is under investigation, that's something Everyone should know. If she has, in fact, abused the power of her
office, then it shows the kind of person we will get in office. and it hurts McCains argument that he is of sound judgement.

If the Dems want to get into a pissing contest over the abuses of the respective VP candidate's ethical transgressions, I'll go out on a limb and
predict that Biden's string of outright lies that forced him to drop out of the 1988 race trump getting your sister's ex fired.
And if anybody has shown a lack of sound judgment, it was when Obama picked Biden instead of Hillary. It almost makes me think that this entire race
has been fixed. It's like when Kerry had all the momentum back in 2004 and then he started saying idiotic things and did that whole duck hunting
photo op in Ohio.

She's a woman. Need I say more?
Women are voters, my girl friends will vote for her, their daughters will vote for her, and their grandmothers will vote for her, just because she is
a woman.
Thank god that criminal Hillary is out or they'ed probably vote for her.

You are just afraid because she is a woman.
Yes it is a shallow argument but after years of being called a racist for not liking Obama, its my turn.

In a press conference this afternoon, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) conceded that someone inside her administration pressured the state's Department of
Public Safety to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten, Palin's former brother-in-law, who is now embroiled in a bitter custody battle with Palin's sister.
...
At the press conference today, Palin distanced herself from Bailey's actions claiming that he acted alone, but the recordings suggest that he was
acting at her instigation.
I don't know, but it doesn't sound too good. I don't think anything will come of this, though. I think it will all be smoothed over by the party
and it will be completely forgotten come November.

Looks like the end of McCain's campaign to me. This on top of the firing of the district attorneys, is the icing on the cake. Bye bye McCain...

I think McCain is genious and will pull the election.
Obama "missed the boat" when he didn't take Hillary on. McCain saw this and moved on the vacuum.

Good find, if Raw Story is indeed reputable.
McCain picked a purdy girl for his birthday? I though he was 72, not 27.
