Hi to all, I was just browsing nasa website and saw the image of the day which shows the moon lander before descent to the moon.

The only thing that made me think was the picture doesnt look like it was from that time it was edited I think so, just look, the moon atmosphere is fine but the lander looks so animated.

Here's the image.

www.nasa.gov...

Whats your opinion.

I see it the other way around.
The lunar lander looks just fine, but the moon has no atmosphere so that's what looks wrong in the picture.

EDIT:

To the Anonymous poster.....

My opinion is you are an idiot.

But seeing that the mods here are censor nazis you most likely won't see this reply.

I posted it for you so everyone can see who the idiot is.
Others couldn't read your reply, but I can.

Your post is totally counter productive to the thread and just cruel to the OP.
Perhaps you could take your troll trash to a board that more suits your needs.

Maybe you need a post ban put on your IP address.

It's a shame you can't reply to me now.

What is wrong? It is the lunar module being severed for the Commad/Service module. I cannot spot anything wrong.

Excuse me, everybody I am trying to say that the lander looks animated.

It looks pretty normal to me, but I could be wrong. Considering how good computer graphics are these days, it's possible. Though why they'd fake this particular image is beyond me.

Where is this "atmosphere" you speak of?

peacejet had said in the first post that the "atmosphere looked fine".

The upper right corner of the picture does seem to look like a reflective atmosphere, something the moon should not have.

What do you think ?

I would expect the edge of the moon to be very sharp against the blackness of space so it would appear to be some kind of anomaly there. I just cannot tell whether its actually *something" that resembles an atmosphere or an artifact of the image itself. I see the same weirdness on mars images.
