Did Maury Povich really discover what's under the Sphinx?

<<  1    2    3  >>

Topic started on 28-8-2008 @ 02:20 PM by MockedUnicorn

A few years ago, I saw a show on FOX about unearthing egyptian mysteries or something. The show followed Maury Povich as he helped to find a new mummy and towards the end of the show, they travelled under the sphinx to a secret chamber, where there was a big pool of water or something. I dont remember all the details and I cant find much info online.

Has anyone else seen this or have any information about it?

I hear people talk about the Sphinx a lot and no one seems to mention the Discovery by Povich and his team.

I remember watching a discovery show a few years back that discussed this topic, or close to it...

If I remember correctly the steward or individual responsible for the area and all artifacts of Egypt (I think, been a while) refused to let anyone take a look into the right (I think right) front foot (paw) of the sphinx.

This infuriated a lot of people because a satellite photo was taken of the sphinx sometime earlier and it showed that the paw was hollow and there were items in it. I think one was a type of jar or container...but rumor had spread that there were secrets that would cause a change in world thinking - some type of information that would cause a global paradigm shift...

Does anyone know if what is inside the paw was discovered?

Zahi Hawass is the guy you are thinking of. (the one who wont let anyone do proper research). I am not sure why, but everything I have read about him seems to say that he doesnt actually want westerners discovering egypts secrets. Or something to that effect. But I am no egyptologist, just interested.

Good looking out!

Yes, he did seem very stand offish on the subject; and to think that they know there is something special, unbelievable, world changing, in the sphinx makes little sense...

That is a country on the periphery and I'm sure (opinion here) if they did have something in that regards, they already would have cashed in on it...

But I'm a Yank, so my train of thought may not be near theirs...

The guy is a tool and an embarrassment as an archeologist. A self centered fool of a man, with a megalomania complex. All he cares about is stuffing his pockets and his ego with Discovery/NatGeo/BBC/History channel money and attention. He's ignorant, paranoid, and dead set on proving that modern Egyptians are descendants of the Great Pharaohs due to his self-admitted insecurity of being labeled "arab" or "muslim", as if there was something wrong with that.
He has set back Egyptology more than any tomb robber ever has.

Do you wanna know how I really feel?

The Hall of Knowledge isn't it? A great library?

Did they find it?

The thing that puzzles me the most about hte whole ordeal is that ALMOST NO ONE has said much of anything about the tomb of Osiris since the broadcast. You would think that It would be a major archeological find. You would think that if someone found the tomb of a GOD, then more people would be interested. If all the hush is on account of Hawass, then he should be tossed aside in favor of someone who will get to finding out the truth, instead of finding "evidence" of his own reality in his head.

Edgar Casey predicted years ago (before it was known to be true) that there was a room underneath one of the sphinx paws and that it would hold the answers to many of our questions. Cayce also mentions Atlantis in this prediction.

If you are not familiar with Cayce, he did health readings on people while in a trance, when doing these readings he called his patients, entities, and he spoke about their past lives, since often their past lives affected their present lives. Many interesting facts came out about subjects, that had nothing, to do with the patient's present life.

Here is a link to a website stating Cayce's prediction on the sphinx and also this website has links to the other websites on Cayce.

Ya, I got that from him as well; and you are spot on about doing more harm than a tomb raider - smart comment.

If he is still the steward, they need help with their policy and procedures...I always thought archaeologists shared their work and findings with others; even after I watched Raiders...

Maury Povich?

Maybe if what was under there was some grade school drop-out whorish ghetto-trash woman who still after testing 35 men for paternity has no idea who the father of her 15th child is.

Is that what is under the Sphinx?

HA!

What's hiding under the sphinx is the real father.

On the topic... I can't agree more that the man in charge, indeed anyone blocking the study of ancient civilizations for any reason, is an insult to archeology.

To better understand our past is to better understand ourselves.

While its a funny thought, the show WAS real and the host was none other than MAURY POVICH. (or, as his guests often reffer to him "Murray")

So, what, it's gonna be a mystery forever, or just to the "westerners" and everyone else already knows about it?
You don't entomb something that isn't meant to be discovered later on. You destroy it.
This leads me to think there will be a time when this knowledge will have to come out as it is destined to, no doubt.
So, when?

It is a small Osirieon, which is a temple to Osiris that is symbolically his "tomb." Not the actual tomb of a God.

What do you smoke?

Cayce certainly predicted this, and just as certainly, it is not true.

Originally posted by gooseCayce also mentions Atlantis in this prediction.

Cayce lifted every word he ever spoke about Atlantis from Madame Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophist Society. She was a fraudulent "medium" that was publicly exposed and humiliated at least two times in her life and was eventually booted out of her own society.

She got her Atlantis info from Ignatius Donnelly. His expertise is, of course, questionable. He was a retired politician that wrote of Atlantis from his Midwestern home in the USA.

It will remain a mystery to two groups - those too lazy to look into it and those that want the world to be more "mysterious" than their feeble minds can comprehend.

Remind me to keep the location of my grave (when it happens) a secret from you, then.

Hey Harte you just gave me an idea for a good thread.

What about our own burials, if you go for burial what do you want to have with you to confuse the Archaeologists?

Zahi Hawass is such a D bag....He does not want anything to be discovered. He is a &*&(^%*^% control freak , my opinion.

It was Casey that said the Hall of Records were under the paw. I am not so sure I think they are in another Dimension.
