Two-headed baby boy under police guard
www.news.com.au
A BABY boy born with two heads has been put under police protection because of the curiosity his birth has caused among locals.
The 5.5kg boy, named Kiron, was born by caesarean on Monday in Keshobpur, 135km from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
"He has one stomach and he is eating normally with his two mouths. He has one genital organ and a full set of limbs," gynaecologist Mohamad Abdul Bari
said.
"He was born from one embryo but there was a developmental anomaly."
The clinic had been unable to determine whether the baby had one or two sets of vital organs, Dr Bari said.
The baby's life was not in immediate danger but he and his mother, 22, had been moved to a larger hospital in nearby Jessore city because large crowds
had gathered at the clinic, he said.

You gotta feel sorry not only for this baby but for the family.
They are going to have tough times ahead with the media and having to face some potential tough decisions as the baby grows.
Do you think about removing one of the heads? Do you keep both and give them one name or two?
I truly hope the baby does survive any which way and manages to have a full and happy life.

id have to see a picture before making a statement on whether or not one of the so called heads should be removed.
i want to know if there are two active brains, or just one, kinda like a second face bulging out of the side of one's head. if two brains, then thats
like two people, which would be freaky as heck. but if its one brain, then all things, even both faces, are controlled by ONE person .. not two, at
which point i WOULD suggest reconstructive surgery, IF the second head was in a position where removal is feasible without endagering the life of the
child beyond a small degree.
PS: whats with all the funky kids with extra limbs and heads doing coming out of that part of the world??

I went to the article and looked at the picture; it looks to me like there are two fully-formed, functional heads that should each have a brain.
If there are two separate brains and two separate individuals, then I would conclude that both have a right to live even if they have to share one
body, like Siamese twins. It might be difficult to tell for sure if they are independent brains (personalities) until the infant is older ...
Tough situation all around.

People having two heads IS extremely rare but not unheard of, or unheard from!

Here is a pic of the bub.
He does seem to have both heads functioning, but then how much can you tell from a picture….
Like I said, I hope all goes well….

Wonder which of the two heads holds the brain that controls the nervous system of the body ? Could you cut off the wrong head ? OR does each brain
control the bodies nervous system in some way ?
Either way God bless them all and lets hope for the best .

I wonder if it is possible that they are both needed? Like the left brain right brain thing.
I guess they would be doing all kinds of tests to check for brain function. Failing that wait and see. If one starts to atrophy only then should it be
removed.

Zaphod? Is that you, Zaphod?

Inappropriate and bad taste, but piss funny!
I guess I am just like that...
As long as the bub is OK though
